Hope Logan Thinks She Knows Best

There is a certain kind of confidence that borders on delusion, and Hope Logan has been living in that zip code for weeks now. On Bold and the Beautiful, Hope has made it her personal mission to push her father Deacon Sharpe (Sean Kanan) away from his wife Sheila Carter (Kimberlin Brown) and straight into the arms of Taylor Hayes (Rebecca Budig). And she is doing it with the enthusiasm of someone who has apparently forgotten every single thing Sheila has ever done.

Hope and her half-brother Deke Sharpe (Harrison Cone) staged what can only be described as an intervention, urging Deacon to follow his heart and pursue Taylor. Forget the fact that Deacon is married. Forget the fact that his wife once shot two people at point-blank range. Hope looked her father dead in the eye and basically said go for it.

Meanwhile, Deacon confessed his love to Taylor at Il Giardino, and Taylor confessed right back. The emotional affair has officially crossed into mutual declarations of love territory. And if that was not messy enough, Deacon went home afterward and slept next to Sheila while fantasizing about Taylor the entire time.

That is not romance. That is a countdown to catastrophe.

Steffy Forrester Sees the Explosion Coming

Enter Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood), who is doing what Steffy does best on Bold and the Beautiful. She is reading the room and she does not like a single thing she sees. Steffy confronted Hope Logan directly and laid it out in terms that could not have been clearer. You are poking a bear. That bear has claws. And when those claws come out, people you love will bleed.

Steffy has earned the right to this position. She took a bullet from Sheila. Her husband Finn (Tanner Novlan) took a bullet from Sheila. She spent months hiding her children overseas because of Sheila. So when Steffy says that deliberately provoking Sheila Carter by encouraging her husband to cheat is a terrible idea, maybe someone should listen.

But Hope Logan did not listen. Instead, she called Steffy controlling. She accused her of being a tyrant who wants to dictate her mother’s love life. The audacity was breathtaking, especially coming from the woman whose father is the one sneaking around behind his wife’s back.

The Irony Sheila Carter Cannot See

Here is the part that would be funny if it were not terrifying. Sheila has no idea any of this is happening. She actually went to Taylor and asked for help saving her marriage. She poured her heart out to the woman who is secretly in love with her husband. Taylor sat there, nodded sympathetically, and said nothing.

Sheila has threatened to kill Taylor if Deacon ever crossed a line. Those were not idle words from a woman with Sheila’s resume. She has poisoned, shot, kidnapped, and faked her own death more times than most people change their passwords. The idea that she will simply accept this betrayal with grace and dignity is laughable.

Something tells me the only question left is not whether Sheila finds out. It is how many people get caught in the blast radius when she does. And if history is any guide, Steffy Forrester is going to look Hope dead in the eye when the dust settles and say three words that will echo through the halls of Forrester Creations for years.
