Cane Ashby Gets Cuffed at the GCAC With Lily Winters Watching

Cane Ashby brings Lily Winters one of those nostalgic Crimson Lights drinks Kevin used to make for the kids. They remember their twins ordering it. They talk about Malcolm Winters starting treatment. Cane offers to fly to New York with Lily and hold her hand if she needs him to. She softens. She agrees they can travel together.

Then Christine Blair sweeps in with a cop in tow and books Cane on corporate sabotage. The DA accuses him of conspiring with Phyllis Summers and suggests he call his attorney. Cane is furious. Lily begs Christine not to do this now. Cane swears he needs to get to New York. Christine informs him he probably will not be allowed to leave the state. The cop drags him out. The reunion that was about to happen at 30,000 feet got rerouted to a holding cell.

Nate Hastings walks in moments later and tries to calm Lily down. He assures her Cane can still donate from Genoa City. Lily panics about variables. Nate cannot help griping that chaos follows Cane wherever he goes. Lily calls the DAback, explains Malcolm’s illness, and makes the pitch of her life. Can he have an ankle monitor and a police escort? Can the trip happen with cuffs on his wrists? The future of Malcolm Winters’ surgery rests on what Christine Blair decides to do next.

Is Cane Ashby getting on that plane to New York or is the donation about to happen with a federal officer in the operating room? Send your wildest theories to [email protected] and we may publish them right here on the page!

Holden Novak Invites Claire Newman to New York and Promises the Audra Charles Confession

Holden Novak finds Claire Newman at Crimson Lights and admits he is heading to New York for the surgery. He wants her to come. They tease. They flirt. They dance around the invitation until his head hurts.

Holden admits he is still wrestling with the lies his mother told him. He admits Lily’s effortless acceptance feels insincere. He tells Claire she is the person he feels most connected to from his past. Claire mentions Audra Charles and Holden reads the room. He offers Claire the full Audra story if she comes to New York with him. The trade is set. The deal is on the table. Claire is one short flight away from learning every secret Holden has been keeping.

Phyllis Summers and Michael Baldwin Strategize While Billy Abbott Threatens to Burn Her Down

Over at Summer’s Conglomerate, Phyllis is on the phone telling Sid in PR exactly how to spin the fake evidence. Billy Abbott walks in and immediately demands to know how she was stupid enough to get caught and whether the evidence is real. Phyllis insists none of the emails came from him. Billy has been watching Victoria stick to the family line and now he is watching his back.

He tells Phyllis he refuses to be caught in the middle of this. He tells her Sally Spectra is pregnant and he has to be there for her. Phyllis offers a flat “congratulations I guess” and tries to assure him he is not implicated. Billy asks about Cane. Phyllis says he is on his own. Billy says if Phyllis throws him under the bus, he will hang her out to dry without a second thought.

Then Michael Baldwin walks in, dismisses Billy, and announces that Cane has been arrested. Phyllis immediately suggests they pin everything on Cane. Michael says they need to focus on reasonable doubt for her. He makes the mistake of pointing out she actually did steal the company. Phyllis snaps at him to never say that out loud again. The defense team is fighting itself before the prosecution has even filed paperwork.

Sally Spectra Hears the News and Breathes the Wrong Sigh of Relief

Billy heads home and tells Sally that Phyllis is out on bail and Cane has been arrested. Sally exhales and hopes Christine does not come for Billy next. She remarks how surprising it is that Billy was not incriminated, like that is the safest thing she could possibly say. Billy tells her not to stress and insists this is not their problem.

Reader, this is absolutely going to be their problem. Sally is engaged to a man whose ex-wife was walked out of her own office in handcuffs and whose business partner is now in a holding cell. The Abbott baby is coming. The wedding is coming. The federal investigation is coming for everyone Phyllis ever did business with, and Sally Spectra’s sigh of relief is going to be the last one she breathes for a while.

The arrests are landing. The donor is in a cell. The strategy team is fighting itself. The DA is winning. Wednesday is going to be a day.
