Breaking News: Days of Our Lives, the long-running soap opera, has been renewed for two more seasons on Peacock, ensuring fans can continue to enjoy the drama and intrigue for the foreseeable future. The news puts to rest any concerns that the show’s move from NBC to Peacock was a harbinger of its end.
In September 2022, after 57 years on NBC, Days of Our Lives transitioned to the Peacock streaming service. Executive producer Ken Corday had expressed confidence in streaming as the future of dramatic television, predicting that most shows would eventually make the shift.
While Peacock has not released specific viewership numbers, Days of Our Lives has consistently ranked among the platform’s top ten most-streamed titles since its move. The soap was also one of Peacock’s most-watched programs prior to its departure from NBC.
Throughout its history, Days of Our Lives has received 61 Daytime Emmy Awards, including the 2022 Outstanding Writing Team award. The show has also earned multiple People’s Choice Awards, GLAAD Media Awards, and Prism Awards.
