In today’s episode of Days of Our Lives (DOOL), Steve Johnson woke up in the wine cellar and was pleasantly surprised to see Kayla Johnson by his side. After confirming that it was really her, they shared a passionate reunion and exchanged updates on Bo Brady’s behavior. Kayla revealed that Megan Hathaway had lied about Thomas Banks being involved in her kidnapping, and that Bo wanted her help to build an empire like Victor’s and needed the prisms for Dr. Wilhelm Rolf’s serum.

Despite Kayla’s worries about her brainwashed brother, Steve remained optimistic that the real Bo was still in there and that love could save him. The two shared a heartfelt moment when Kayla showed Steve the letter Victor Kiriakis had written to Caroline Brady and admitted to feeling sorry for Victor since he had spent so many years pining.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Johnson and Chad DiMera went to Titan looking for Victor, only to find out that he was out of town. Maggie Kiriakis offered to help and found out that Stephanie’s mom was in Greece and that Kayla had mentioned something about Victor over the phone. Maggie revealed that Victor had plenty of properties in Greece, including his childhood home, and promised to send Stephanie and Chad a list of those properties and speak to Victor for them.

At the Salem Inn, Gwen Rizczech was surprised when Alex Kiriakis arrived to vent about a problematic relative. Although Gwen assumed he meant Xander Cook, he was actually referring to Maggie and complained about her putting the kibosh on the amazing prisms deal that he had tried to arrange. Alex also listened to Gwen’s gripes about Xander and Chloe Lane growing closer, and Gwen showed him the picture that Leo had taken of Chloe hugging Xander.

Later, Alex overheard Stephanie and Chad discussing something about Stephanie’s mom and was relieved to find out that Kayla was alive. He admitted that he was glad that he didn’t rob Stephanie of the chance to say goodbye to Kayla after all.

At the pub, Brady Black wasn’t happy to see Chloe and Xander bonding over darts and laughing together. Xander defended Chloe’s behavior toward Rachel, while Brady didn’t appreciate Xander badmouthing his daughter. As the tension escalated, Xander threatened to give Brady a black eye, and Chloe had to play referee before asking Brady to leave. Although Brady refused to go until he talked to Chloe, she asked Xander if he could give them some time alone.

After Brady left, Chloe apologized to him for blurting out that she hated Rachel, and Brady assured her that they could get through this. He promised to talk to Rachel, but Chloe wasn’t sure if talking would help. When Brady wondered if Chloe was giving up, she couldn’t offer a firm answer.

Chloe later spoke to Xander about the situation, and he suggested that sometimes there was a point of no return in relationships where you had to know when to walk away. If Chloe and Brady split, Xander pointed out that there were plenty of other fish in the sea. He even rattled off a list of reasons why he was a great catch, getting a chuckle out of Chloe. However, their cozy moment was interrupted by Gwen, who guessed that the news about Chloe and Xander being Salem’s hottest couple was true.

At Marlena Evans’ townhouse, Brady talked to her about his Chloe problems and asked her to talk to Rachel for him. Unfortunately, Rachel still wasn’t receptive to the idea of making amends with Chloe. Although Marlena promised to try again tomorrow, Brady worried that time might not be on his side and that Chloe was slipping through his fingers.

It looks like Chloe and Brady will have to make some tough decisions about their future, so stay tuned.
