Days of Our Lives Recap for March 15, 2023: Xander Vs. Alex for Gwen’s Heart

In today’s episode of Days of Our Lives, tensions run high as Xander and Alex battle for Gwen’s affection. Meanwhile, Li attempts to make amends with Gabi, and EJ and Stefan try to negotiate a truce.

Li makes a last-ditch effort to win back Gabi’s trust by presenting her with a new collaboration opportunity with Saxtons. Gabi hesitates at first, worried that Li’s proposal is merely a distraction from her ultimate goal of running DiMera with Stefan. However, Li remains persistent and emphasizes the importance of Gabi reclaiming herself as a designer and entrepreneur. Before leaving, Li asks Gabi to think about the offer and consider the possibilities it may bring.

Stefan shows up at Gabi’s door and, before she can even speak, he kisses her passionately. He tells her that EJ and he pretended to reach a truce, but Stefan has no intentions of keeping it. Stefan and Gabi are determined to run DiMera together, no matter the obstacles that come their way.

EJ confronts Stefan for breaking their agreement, but Stefan admits to it and refuses to apologize. They discuss the wrongs they have done to each other and other family members, and both express regret. EJ confesses that he doesn’t trust Gabi and never regrets coming between her and Stefan. Stefan admits that he and Gabi are determined to be together and run DiMera the way they want, with EJ being their only obstacle.

Xander accuses Gwen of sleeping with Alex to make him jealous, but she tells him that he is wrong. He warns her that Alex is using her and that he doesn’t want him to hurt her. Gwen stands her ground and tells Xander that she has moved on from him. She questions his intentions and accuses him of using her for the paper.

Alex blames Leo for not being named CEO of Titan and threatens him physically. Leo apologizes and offers a deal to keep his name out of his gossip column. Alex agrees to let him live and leaves, but Leo has questions about Alex’s budding romance with Gwen. Alex accuses Leo of trying to get dirt for his column, but Leo warns him not to hurt Gwen like Xander did. Alex assures him that Gwen is safe with him and that they are just friends.

Wendy visits Tripp at the hospital, bringing him breakfast and coffee as an apology for the trouble he’s in. She notices something on the side of his mouth and wipes it off for him as Johnny walks in and sees them together. Johnny tries to make amends with Tripp, but he asks him to stay out of it.

As the episode comes to a close, Xander and Alex cross paths in the square, and Xander warns Alex to stay away from Gwen. Alex challenges him, asking what he’ll do if he doesn’t stay away. Xander responds by threatening to make him pay and taunts him about Maggie getting the CEO job over him.
