Sally was thrilled when Victor Newman offered her a full-time contract heading up a new fashion design division at Newman Enterprises. Her partner Chloe, however, was instantly suspicious of Victor’s motives.

“It’s Victor Newman!” Chloe exclaimed. She argued that nothing involving Victor was ever straightforward. Chloe believed Victor just wanted to control Nick’s girlfriend. She refused to get sucked into Victor’s web of manipulation.

Sally insisted this was a golden opportunity, both financially and creatively. The chance to build an entire fashion line from scratch appealed to her designer instincts. Chloe, however, remained unconvinced. She valued their independent jobs at Chancellor-Winters and trusted the good faith of their current employers. Chloe wanted no involvement with the endless Newman family drama.

The two business partners reached an impasse. “You can count me out,” Chloe stated firmly, before walking away and leaving Sally to ponder the offer alone.

Nate Faces Warnings From Nikki and Elena

Nate continued cozying up to the Newman family, still angling for a top spot at the company. He shamelessly flattered Nikki, offering to help with a new project. Nikki quickly shut down his obsequious attitude.

She respected Nate’s talents, but remained skeptical of his motives. Nikki warned she would crush Nate’s ambitions in an instant if he ever hurt Victoria. Family loyalty came first. Nate insisted his intentions were good, but Nikki remained unconvinced.

Later, at the Athletic Club bar, Nate crossed paths with his bitter ex Elena. She lambasted him for his relationship with Victoria, certain he would only cause more heartbreak.

Elena threatened to sabotage Nate’s standing with the Newmans. “In case I wasn’t clear, consider this a warning,” she said coldly before storming off.

When Nikki witnessed the icy confrontation, she reiterated her own warnings to Nate. If he failed to provide Victoria with the love and support she deserved, Nikki vowed Nate would immediately regret it.

Adam Offers Phyllis Leverage Against Tucker

Phyllis demanded Adam reveal the information he had uncovered about her nemesis Tucker McCall. She needed ammunition to escape Tucker’s blackmail and beat her criminal charges.

Adam explained he had found emails proving Tucker’s music label covered up statutory rape charges against one of their artists. The emails showed Tucker’s executive Audra Charles handled the payoffs and cover-up.

Phyllis was stunned but thrilled to gain leverage over Tucker. She raced off, eager to throw the damaging emails in Tucker’s face. This could force him to recant his testimony against her.

For Adam, sharing the incriminating emails served his own strategic purposes. He needed Phyllis as an ally at Newman Enterprises. Helping her avoid jail strengthened their alliance.

Christine Warns Phyllis to Protect Summer

At Society, D.A. Christine Blair couldn’t resist confronting her longtime foe Phyllis. She smugly mentioned Phyllis’s upcoming trial date was set.

Phyllis refused to be intimidated, insisting she had the means to win her case. The jury would believe her, not Christine’s accusations.

Christine then threatened to also charge Summer if Phyllis didn’t cooperate. She considered Summer an accessory to Diane’s murder.

Phyllis exploded in fury, warning Christine to leave her grieving daughter alone. Summer had merely tried protecting her innocent mother. Phyllis refused to let Christine punish Summer for Phyllis’s own mistakes.

Their argument ended ominously, with Phyllis vowing to fight with everything she had.

Sally Offers Adam Advice on Healing

Sally ran into a brooding Adam in the park. She mentioned dealing with her own loss and grief over her miscarriage. Donating the unused baby items helped provide closure.

When Adam shut down over discussing his personal pain, Sally gently encouraged him to open up when ready. Bottling up emotions would only hurt more in the long run. She counseled Adam to fill his inner emptiness with meaningful connections.

Sally explained focusing on her work also helped her mourn. She hoped Adam could find similar healing outlets to process his trauma. Though sympathetic, she refused to allow his sullen withdrawal. Sally knew from experience that reaching out was better than isolation.

Her insight resonated with Adam, even as he struggled to implement her advice. For now, he remained locked in his bitter shell of grief.
