Jack Brennan is dead, floating face down in the Metro Court pool, and on General Hospital, the two people who tried to make him disappear, Drew Cain and Ava Jerome, already left behind the exact evidence that could destroy them.

A Body In The Pool Nobody Wanted To Find

Danny Morgan and Charlotte Cassadine snuck up to the Metro Court pool for one stolen swim and pulled Jack Brennan‘s body out of the water instead. Danny didn’t think about calling the police. He thought about Drew, and about how fast this night would become a weapon against his own father if anyone ever found out what they’d seen. So the two of them ran, leaving a dead WSB chief floating behind for somebody else to find.

That someone turned out to be Ava Jerome and Drew Cain, searching the pool deck for the evidence Jack had been using against Drew. They found him already dead instead. Ava panicked instantly, certain the timeline would trace straight back to her since Dante had already spotted her with Jack earlier that night at the Gardens. Rather than call anyone, the two of them pulled Jack’s body out of the water and loaded him into a laundry cart, burying him under a stack of pool towels.

Ava And Drew Made Every Wrong Move In The Book

Ava Jerome and Drew Cain didn’t call the police, didn’t leave the body where it was, and didn’t stop to think about who else had already touched that pool deck. Instead they loaded Jack into a laundry cart, covered him with towels, and planned to ride the service elevator down to the garage so they could dump him somewhere else entirely. Every single decision moved a dead federal agent further from where he actually died, which is exactly the kind of detail a real investigation lives for.

They also had no idea Danny and Charlotte had already been there first. Charlotte’s bracelet slipped off during the panic and caught on Jack’s sleeve without her noticing, which means there is now physical proof two different sets of people stood over this body before anyone called it in. Ava and Drew think they’re covering their own tracks. They don’t know they’re also covering someone else’s.

Carly And Jason Are Already One Step Ahead

While Ava and Drew were hauling a body through a service corridor, Carly Spencer was already on the phone with Jason Morgan about a completely different problem. The Metro Court’s security system had gone dark and the alarm was disabled, and Carly needed someone who actually understood what she was looking at. Jason traced the shutdown to a virus planted through Carly’s own office computer, which immediately made both of them wonder if the timing had anything to do with their VIP guest, WSB Chief Jack Brennan.

Carly and Jason don’t know Jack is dead yet. They only know his room has clearly been searched and that he’s nowhere to be found, which on General Hospital usually means the worst news is still one scene away. Jason has spent years reading exactly this kind of scene, and he’s about to walk face-first into evidence that leads straight back to Drew Cain, the twin brother he barely speaks to anymore.

Nobody in that pool house is walking away from this clean, and the one person built to expose all of it happens to share Drew’s face. On General Hospital, that kind of family resemblance has never once meant mercy.
