Our History
Soap Opera Magazine was originally published as a weekly print magazine devoted to American soap operas. The final print issue was published in February 1999. In 2023, the brand was revived as a digital-first platform under new ownership.
Editorial Leadership
In February 2026, veteran daytime journalist Amber Sinclair was appointed Editor-in-Chief, having served as editor since 2025. With more than a decade of experience in the soap opera industry, Sinclair previously held leadership roles as Managing Editor at SoapHub, Editor-in-Chief at Daily Drama, and Senior Editor at Soap Shows. In her new role, she oversees editorial strategy, content development, and coverage across all major daytime dramas.
In March 2026, Squid McGuffey Media LLC filed a federal trademark application for the Soap Opera Magazine name with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (serial number 99696043).
