TL;DR: This week on Young and the Restless, Claire’s Aunt Jordan scare turns out to be a birthday reminder she forgot to delete, Victoria ditches a motel date with Kyle to comfort her, Sally puts Adam’s partner in her wedding party, and Matt Clark cancels his own goodbye.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: This Week (September 21-25, 2026)

Monday, September 21st:
Sally asks Chelsea to be her bridesmaid and Chelsea, after a stunned pause, says yes. Billy Abbott is already doing the math. Chelsea in the wedding party means a plus one, and the plus one is Adam Newman. Billy tells Adam to his face he should not be at the wedding. Adam’s reply is to ask him to save a front row seat, just in case.

At the Abbott mansion, Nikki Newman reveals Vibrante relaunches on Valentine’s Day and promises Jack Abbott and Diane Jenkins there will be no Victor issues. Diane waits until Nikki leaves to tell Jack it smells like a setup and that his loyalty to Nikki is starting to cost her patience. At the tack house, Victoria Newman texts Kyle Abbott to set up an in person meeting, and Nikki notices her daughter looking flushed and glued to her phone. Victoria covers. Nikki does not look convinced. Adam also reassures Chelsea Lawson that Connor is settling in at the boarding school.

Tuesday, September 22nd:
Aunt Jordan did not come back from the dead. She came back as a calendar alert. Claire Newman‘s phone pings in the tack house and she tells Victoria that Aunt Jordan strikes again, but it is only a reminder for Jordan’s birthday that Claire forgot to delete. No resurrection, no accomplice, no Colleen Zenk. What the reminder does is open a wound. Claire confesses that Jordan once pressured her into lying to get a schoolgirl expelled after the girl’s party stole Claire’s guests, and says she was a really awful person back then. Victoria tells her she was just a child and Jordan cannot hurt her anymore. Then Victoria cancels her motel date with Kyle to stay with her daughter. That is the detail to hold onto: Claire’s pain just cost Kyle a night, and she has no idea.

Meanwhile Matt Clark sits at Society insisting to himself he is not stalling, he is leaving. Patty texts that it is time to hit the road. Matt texts back telling her to hold her horses and not do anything crazy. At Crimson Lights, Phyllis Summers tells Nick that Matt is gone, and Nick admits the man he hated seems to have disappeared but refuses to lower his guard. Then Matt calls Phyllis wanting to meet, insisting Patty did not hurt him. Phyllis asks what kind of game he is playing. Fair question. Nate Hastings tells Stephanie Simmons he is fine calling this dating, and she frets that she told Holden they were just friends. They rehearse how to tell him the truth and agree to wait until he is back from visiting Malcolm in London.

Wednesday, September 23rd:
The Wednesday day-ahead posts this afternoon, so this entry runs on the logline and promo for now. Audra Charles is blindsided by Sally. The promo already told us what Audra thinks: she will always be in Sally’s corner, but she would not be her best friend if she did not say Sally is making a huge mistake. The mistake is Chelsea. Audra sees a bridesmaid who comes attached to Adam, and the blindside is that Sally does not back down. Cane Ashby goes the extra mile to help Billy, which is a strange sentence after the summer those two had, and Adam makes a sacrifice for Chelsea.

Thursday, September 24th:
Traci Abbott makes a much needed house call. The promo has her at Billy’s door, Billy asking if everything is okay, and Traci answering “you tell me.” That is a sister who has heard something. Kyle keeps Victoria on her toes, and Daniel Romalotti cuts Phyllis a break from behind the bar at the Shadow Room.

Friday, September 25th:
Victor Newman sets Nikki up for success at Vibrante, which is exactly the kind of help she asked him not to give. Jack makes a promise to Diane. And Sharon Newman helps Nick Newman with a tough decision as he eases back into Newman.

Young and the Restless Spoilers: Next Week (September 28-October 2, 2026)

Day by day loglines for next week have not been released yet, so this is our read from the weekly previews. The big one: Nick’s old drug dealer resurfaces, and the confrontation turns physical. Nick just got out of rehab, just got benched by his own father, and just credited Marie with fixing his hero complex. A fistfight with the man who used to sell to him is the opposite of easing back in.

Lily Winters took a quiet trip to Chicago and comes home to a boyfriend with questions. Cane asked her to move in two weeks ago and never got an answer, the executive producer has promised a secret from Lily’s past will put the brakes on, and Devon has already told Cane that if he cares he should walk away. Whatever Lily was doing in Chicago is the secret.

Patty is still out there. Matt reversed his plan to leave with her, which means Patty lost her new friend and her reason to stay away from Jack. Diane is convinced the final blow comes at the wedding. And the Kyle and Victoria secret survives the week, barely, with Nikki now watching her daughter’s phone habits the way only a mother can.

The October Wedding: What Is Confirmed

Billy and Sally’s Gatsby wedding airs in October, with no exact date announced. The executive producer calls it the wedding of the year and says to expect the unexpected. Here is the guest list as it stands. Chelsea is in as a bridesmaid. Chloe is out, on a cruise with Gloria. Sally’s mother Shirley and sister Coco are coming, with Patrika Darbo and Ashley Campbell both confirmed for October, which is where the wedding crashers tease comes from. Traci and Ashley Abbott are supposed to be front and center with opposite opinions of the bride. Eileen Davidson fractured her kneecap getting out of a cold plunge and is out for several weeks after surgery, but Soap Opera Digest reports she had already filmed the wedding scenes before the fall, so Ashley will be there. Adam has been told to stay home. Adam has asked for a front row seat. Patty has not been invited and Diane assumes she is coming anyway.

Jordan Is Still Dead, and Claire Is Still Haunted
The big promo tease turned out to be a birthday reminder Claire never deleted. That is a letdown if you wanted Colleen Zenk back, and a clever piece of writing if you are watching the affair. Claire spent her childhood being raised by Jordan as a weapon against the Newmans. She is still carrying the guilt, and her mother just cancelled a night with Kyle to sit with her through it. Every scene that shows how fragile Claire is makes the eventual discovery of Victoria and Kyle land harder.

Chelsea Is in the Wedding and Adam Is Not
Sally asked, Chelsea accepted, Audra objected, and Billy drew a line Adam has already promised to step over. The executive producer said Adam and Sally always find their lives intertwined whether they like it or not. Sally just handed him a bridesmaid to escort.

Matt Clark’s Third Goodbye of the Year
He left an off screen prison sendoff in January and came back in April. He announced he was leaving in July and did not. He wrote Phyllis a farewell letter Thursday, cried on a bench Friday, and on Tuesday told Patty by text to hold her horses before calling Phyllis to ask for a meeting. No exit has been announced for Roger Howarth. Patty, meanwhile, lost the friend who was supposed to take her far away.

Nikki Is Watching Both of Them
She caught the look between Kyle and Victoria two weeks ago, now she has caught Victoria flushed and hiding her phone, and on Friday Victor sets her up for success at Vibrante after she told him to stay out of it. The CBS season teaser says Victor’s business opportunity for Nikki has an ulterior motive aimed at Jack. Nikki is the last person in Genoa City who does not know she is being played from two directions.

Is Jordan really back on Young and the Restless?
No. Claire’s “Aunt Jordan strikes again” on Tuesday is about a calendar alert for Jordan’s birthday that she forgot to erase. There is no message, no scheme, and no Colleen Zenk. Jordan died on screen in January 2025 and she is staying that way. The scare does push Claire into confessing old guilt to Victoria, who then cancels a secret meeting with Kyle to comfort her.

What is Audra’s warning to Sally about?
Chelsea. Sally asked Chelsea to be a bridesmaid Monday, and Audra’s problem is not Chelsea, it is the man who comes with her. Billy has already told Adam to stay away from the wedding, and Adam has already said he might show up anyway.

Is Matt Clark leaving the show?
No. He wrote Phyllis a goodbye letter, said farewell to Nick and Sharon, then changed his mind. Tuesday’s episode has Phyllis trying to figure out why. Roger Howarth has no announced exit, and this is the third time this year Matt has announced a departure he did not take.

When is Billy and Sally’s wedding?
October, exact date not yet announced. The Gatsby theme is locked, Chelsea is a bridesmaid, Sally’s mother and sister arrive from out of town, and Traci and Ashley are slated to attend. What does Traci want from Billy?
She turns up at his door Thursday. When he asks if everything is okay, she says “you tell me.” The read is a pre wedding check on her little brother, possibly about Jill, possibly about Chancellor. Traci and Ashley are supposed to have opposing views of Sally, so this may be the first shot.

What was Lily doing in Chicago?
The show has not said. She made a quiet trip, was cagey with both Devon and Cane about it, and comes back the week of September 28 to questions she does not want to answer. The executive producer has already teased a secret from Lily’s past that could derail the reunion. This is that secret.

Is Vivica A. Fox leaving Young and the Restless?
Temporarily. She wrapped filming to shoot a Netflix comedy with Whoopi Goldberg, and because the show tapes weeks ahead, Stephanie is still on screen defining the relationship with Nate on Tuesday. Her on screen exit is expected around late October. No permanent departure has been announced.

When do the new head writers take over?
November 11. Jamey Giddens and Dan O’Connor have been on the job since early August, but their first episode has an official air date of Wednesday, November 11, 2026. Everything on screen right now is still Josh Griffith’s material.
