DAYS OF OUR LIVES SPOILERS PUT A DIMERA SHADOW OVER DOMINIC MARINO

TL;DR: This week on Days of Our Lives, Marlena works out what Dominic Marino’s name actually means, Belle and Chad get inside his Italian estate and open a box, and Philip’s Monte Carlo gamble finally lands.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: This Week (September 14-18, 2026)

Monday, September 14th:
Monday finds Marlena Evans confiding in Julie Williams that she’s terrified the chess set is nothing short of a Pandora’s box, and what scares her is not the puzzle. It is the family secrets she and John spent years keeping buried. Overseas, Belle Black and Chad DiMera let themselves into a grand Italian house without knowing whose name is on the deed, and they figure out fast that they are not the only people in it. Back at the tables, Philip Kiriakis and Gabi Hernandez sit down opposite Sydney DiMera and Dante Vitali, and none of them blink first. Dante is hosting the game, and he is the reason Sydney has a seat at all. He staked her for a cut of whatever she walks away with.

Tuesday, September 15th:
Tuesday has Holly Jonas turning to Tate Black for help she can’t ask anyone else for, and the anonymous text that landed while the two of them were out at the lake is the obvious place to start looking. Gabi and Philip celebrate a risky move that pays off, and the celebration is not subtle. Meanwhile Xander Kiriakis, Brady Black and Sarah Horton sit down together, and they are not only comparing notes on each other. They are lining up against EJ DiMera. Johnny DiMera, meanwhile, gets pushed hard to finally take action.

Wednesday, September 16th:
Wednesday hardens Theo Carver‘s suspicion of Johnny, and Stephanie Johnson finally opens up to Kayla Johnson about everything she’s been holding in. Brady and Steve Johnson meet to dig deeper into the Coriseal mess specifically, Lani Price is back in Salem and weighing some serious decisions about her future, and Xander and Sarah find themselves looking back at their own past.

Thursday, September 17th:
Thursday brings a suggestion from Belle that Chad flat out objects to. Sydney catches EJ completely off guard, Paulina Price turns to Stephanie for advice, and Theo makes a confession to Lani that changes the tone of their entire relationship.

Friday, September 18th:
Friday has EJ pressing Rita for everything she knows about Dominic Marino. Holly opens up to Ari about Mason‘s attitude, and Belle hands Marlena a brand new clue to chew on. Chad finally confronts Cat Greene, and Sydney closes out the week by walking into the Brady Pub, where she runs straight into Mason and gets welcomed home by Rita of all people.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Next Week (September 21-25, 2026)

Expect whatever Belle and Chad pull out of that box in Italy to be the thing that sets the rest of the autumn running. The writing team has already said the chess board mystery and its fallout sit at the centre of the fall stories, and that Chad and Belle follow the clues to a discovery that changes both of their families, and Salem, forever. That is a big promise, and this is the week they start collecting on it.

Watch for Johnny’s Coriseal problem to stop being something he can manage on his own. Theo is asking harder questions, Steve and Brady have footage, and George O’Halloran has already warned him that when a cover-up like this cracks, the people with badges go looking for whoever sat at the top. Don’t be surprised if Johnny works out that protecting his father and protecting himself stopped being the same job a while ago.

Keep an eye on the Monte Carlo fallout. Winning a pile of money in a hotel suite is not the same as clearing what Titan owes, and the mansion sale closed anyway while Philip was still at the table. We’d bet on Sydney turning out to be a far bigger problem for the DiMeras than anyone in that room expects, and on Kate Roberts and Gabi’s quiet arrangement over Ari’s internship surfacing at the worst possible moment.

Don’t rule out Theo’s confession to Lani reshaping more than one relationship in Salem, and expect the Xander, Sarah and Brady triangle to keep circling without a clean resolution in sight. The writers have said Xander risks everything for Sarah before this is over, and that Kristen DiMera comes back this fall without coming back alone.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers: The Big Stories Right Now

Marlena Just Said the Quiet Part About Dominic Marino
A dinner reservation nobody made sent Belle and Chad to a Rome palazzo that used to be the Convent of the Holy Trinity, and the street number matched the first three digits of a serial number hidden inside Stefano’s chess set. The owner is Dominic Marino, the reclusive Italian billionaire who paid cash for the Kiriakis mansion. Then Marlena says the thing everybody at home was already circling. Marino means of the sea. So does DiMera. Nobody has proved Marino is the hand moving pieces on that board, and Xander said flatly that the man has no ties to EJ, but a name that translates to the same thing as DiMera is not the kind of coincidence this show does by accident. Chad opens an old box inside that house this week, and Belle is smiling when he does.

Somebody Is Wearing Stefano’s Ring, and Rita Is Not Telling
Rita lifted Stefano’s phoenix ring off EJ’s coffee table and lied straight to his face about where it went. Four days later a man whose face we have never seen slid that ring onto his pinky in a study with Stefano’s portrait on the wall, a chessboard in the corner and a glass of Strega at his elbow. Nobody has shown us how it travelled from her hand to his, and that gap is the whole point. EJ thinks Dr. Rolf is the one feeding Belle and Chad their clues in real time and he has ordered Rita to find him. Rita agreed with him a shade too quickly. She is also about to be caught on camera telling Stefano’s portrait that it is all playing out exactly as he planned.

Johnny’s Coriseal Cover-Up Tightens
Steve and Brady enhanced the hospital footage and found Johnny planting the clue that saved Holly, which means he knew about the cover-up while everyone around him was guessing. George O’Halloran has told him to his face that if this comes apart, the authorities go after whoever was at the top. Theo’s suspicion is hardening by the day. And Brady has already spotted the trap in all of it, because there is no version of exposing EJ that leaves Johnny standing clean. With Johnny getting pushed hard to act this week, the question stops being whether he gets caught and starts being who he decides to save.

Philip, Gabi and the Monte Carlo Gamble
Philip is playing to save Titan and his family home, and Gabi is the one who put him in the chair despite knowing exactly what his history with gambling looks like. The game goes badly before it goes well. He moves to the roulette table with Gabi watching in open panic, and by Tuesday the two of them are rolling around in a bed full of cash in their hotel suite. Whether that pile is anywhere near enough is a different question, and the mansion sale to Marino closed while they were still playing. Sydney is at that table too, staked by her mother’s fiancé, and nobody in the room seems to have asked why a DiMera daughter wanted in on this particular game.

Rafe Torched Gwen’s Hospital Deal, and Cat May Have Struck the Match
Rafe Hernandez handed Gwen Rizczech‘s confession letter to the hospital board and killed her bid stone dead, because the letter laid out that EJ was her silent partner. He admitted it out loud to Cat, who applauded. Gwen threw her phone across the square past Leo Stark‘s head over it. Leo swore the letter was deleted before he ever read it, then quietly remembered that he had mentioned it to Cat, and said nothing. By the end of the week Leo has accused Cat of stealing it outright, told her he does not believe a word of her denial, and asked her to help him chase the counterfeit ring anyway. Cat walked off without answering, which is the most Cat response available.

Xander Heard Sarah Say It Out Loud
Maggie Kiriakis came to tell Xander that Marino had signed and the mansion was gone by end of day, and found him packing up the Titan office and staring at a photo of Sarah with Victoria. Then he told her the part that actually hurts. He overheard Sarah tell Brady she loved him at the daddy-daughter dance. His words: he has had to accept that Sarah loves another man, and he will never love another woman. Maggie told him he can rise above it the way Victor did. He sits down with Sarah and Brady on Tuesday anyway, and he and Sarah go back over their history on Wednesday, so nobody in this triangle is walking away yet.

Who Is Dominic Marino, Really?
He’s the reclusive Italian billionaire who bought the Kiriakis mansion in cash, and he now turns out to own the Rome palazzo at the end of Stefano’s clue trail. He has never appeared on screen and nobody has met him. Marlena’s note that his name means the same thing as DiMera is the strongest hint anyone has dropped so far, but a hint is all it is.

Is Johnny Going to Get Caught?
Steve and Brady have the footage, George won’t cover for him, and Theo is circling. It looks likelier by the day, but no spoiler yet says how or when, and Brady’s warning that taking EJ down takes Johnny with him is the complication nobody has solved.

Did Philip Actually Win in Monte Carlo?
He and Gabi are celebrating in a room full of cash by Tuesday, so the gamble paid. Whether it paid enough to cover what Titan owes is left wide open, and the Kiriakis mansion sale went through regardless while the game was still running.

Why Does Mason Have It In for Holly Jonas?
Ari pushed him on it and he answered plainly. He doesn’t know Holly, but he holds her responsible for the death of someone he did know. He has never said who, on screen or anywhere else, and everything circulating about who that person might be is guesswork. Holly opens up to Ari about him on Friday, so the answer may not stay buried much longer.
