General Hospital spoilers September 8 open at the Quartermaine mansion, where a Labor Day party curdles into an interrogation. Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) has spent months protecting one sentence she never said out loud. Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) overheard enough of an argument to work out the rest of it. Now she is asking the question in front of a room full of relatives, and there is no polite way out of that.

Brook Lynn is scheduled to break. She admits she left the crash site that night, then reaches straight for the softener, which is that she had no idea an accident had happened behind her. That part is actually true. The trouble is everything that came after it, because Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Trina will not be grading her on the first ten minutes. They will be grading her on the months.

The wreck goes back to April 7. Jordan was driving on Route 91 with Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) in the passenger seat when she drifted, swerved, and put the car into a guardrail before it burned. Brook Lynn was on the same road, clipped a rail of her own, and kept driving. The wreck is laid out end to end here. What she did next is the part that will not wash off.

General Hospital Spoilers Say The Confession Arrives Far Too Late

Brook Lynn did not simply stay quiet. She built a frame around Willow Cain (Katelyn MacMullen), tampering with the vehicle data that placed Willow on that road. Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) worked it out on July 7 and told her granddaughter to sit on it. Three days later Brook Lynn confessed to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) that she framed Willow, and carefully left out that she was the driver. We flagged that half-confession back when Willow demanded the PCPD reopen the case, and it has been rotting ever since.

Curtis, meanwhile, had already convinced himself he knew who did it. He decided it was Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), and on May 15 he put him down at the Metro Court Gardens. Isaiah landed on his hand. Eleven broken bones, two severed tendons, and a surgeon’s career hanging by a thread.

Does Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s Confession Free Curtis Ashford?

No, and this is where every version of this story goes sideways. Curtis is not sitting in Pentonville for the crash. He was convicted on August 13 of second-degree assault and battery for what he did to Isaiah, and sentenced to ten years with parole possible in two. Brook Lynn’s confession does not touch that verdict. What it does is explain why he swung at all, because she knew Isaiah was innocent and let a furious man hunt the wrong target for months.

General Hospital Spoilers Track Anna Devane’s Gun Up Mount Emerson

Tuesday does not stop at the Quartermaines. Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is scheduled to be holding Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) at gunpoint on a parcel of Mount Emerson land, with a hallucination of Peter August whispering that anyone in her path is fair game. Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is headed up that mountain after her. My gut says he talks her down rather than draws on her, because he has watched this kind of unraveling before.

Down the hill, Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) picks the worst possible week to demand the sheriff get involved. Ava Jerome (Maura West) has to remind him what is buried out on the old Quartermaine preserve. She is also dodging Isaiah, who wants her to retrace a full day of movements for a tick report. Reading between the lines, a tick puts a person somewhere wooded, and there is one wooded place Ava cannot afford to have on paper.

Out by the boathouse, Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) asks Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr) whether their first kiss was all right. It was. Drew’s temper has nothing to do with the kiss and everything to do with where his daughter was, which was the home of Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). One scheduling note: Monday is an encore of the Anthony Geary tribute episode, so new material starts Tuesday.
