The Flask Came Out While Daphne Talked About Trust
The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers September 24 start with the thing Wednesday’s episode wanted you to catch. Carter Walton sat in his office while Daphne Rose Walton pulled baby clothes out of a shopping bag and talked about how much she trusts Steffy Forrester Finnegan. Then he opened a flask, poured it into his coffee cup, and choked a little getting it down. By the end of the scene he was feeling it enough to tell her, “Steffy’s going to come through.”
Daphne did not notice. She was busy calling the plan the next best thing to her and Carter making a baby together, which would be a lovely sentiment if it were not already a fact. He also told her to keep quiet because Steffy had not spoken to Finn yet. Steffy had, that same day, and John Finnegan said no.
Finn refused the surrogacy flat, asked why now, and let Steffy hand him guilt as the answer. Then he left for a medical conference. The wider board, from the August night to the frozen eggs that were never frozen, is laid out on the running B and B rundown if you want it before Thursday.

Carter Walton Has Done This Exactly Once Before
Here is the part every other write-up is fudging. This is not an old habit coming back. Carter has no drinking history on this show before August 14, 2026, the day Daphne took off her ring and flew to Paris. That night he poured whiskey after whiskey, a drunk Steffy stumbled into the office, and by August 18 the two of them were waking up on the CEO couch with hangovers and a problem.
Wednesday was the second time, five weeks later, and the trigger was the same woman. We covered the flask in today’s recap, and the timing is the whole story. Both times Carter drank, Daphne was the reason, and both times Steffy paid for it. Reading between the lines, the writers are showing you the same fuse twice so you recognize it when it burns down.
Why Is Carter Drinking on Bold and the Beautiful?
Guilt, and the show made sure you saw it. Carter learned on September 14 that Steffy believes the baby is his, invented a surrogacy plan two days later, added frozen eggs on the 21st, and by Wednesday was lying to his wife about a timeline he could not keep straight. What nobody else is telling you is that no published spoiler through October 2 follows up on the drinking. No Ridge walking in, no Daphne sniffing the cup, no confession. The flask is a setup with no payoff on the schedule, which usually means the payoff is bigger than a week.
Thursday Belongs to Katie, RJ and Zende
The published Thursday spoiler moves the camera across town. The hiring spree continues as Katie Logan Spencer sets her sights on a new addition for Logan, while RJ Forrester and Zende Forrester Dominguez begin collaborating on the new Electra line that is supposed to save Forrester Creations. Friday’s line says Zende’s frustrations come to a head one day in.
Do the math. Katie goes shopping for talent on Thursday, Zende loses patience with RJ on Friday, and Logan has been raiding Forrester since Hope walked out in June. Don’t be surprised if the new addition has a Dominguez at the end of his name. Nothing on screen confirms it, but that is not a coincidence, that is a want ad.
Ridge Is the Man Most Likely to Smell the Coffee
Back at Forrester, the question is who catches Carter Walton first. Ridge Forrester shares that floor, has already told Finn to fix whatever is wrong with Steffy, and notices everything about his daughter and nothing about anyone else until it is standing in his office. Daphne is the other candidate, since she was in the room when he choked and is now visiting daily with nursery plans. My gut says Ridge, and my gut says soon.
One more thing the timeline hands you. No paternity test has aired, no doctor, no due date, and Finn has never been ruled out. Steffy and Finn planned a night alone in Monaco on August 12, before Sheila blew the trip up. If I know these writers, Carter Walton is drinking over a baby that might not even be his.
