Start with the bridal party. Chelsea Lawson accepted Sally’s bridesmaid ask on the September 21 episode, taking the spot Chloe Mitchell gave up when a family cruise got in the way. Read that twice. Billy’s ex-wife was already in the lineup, and Sally swapped in the woman he was once engaged to, who also happens to be the biological mother of his son Johnny.

Maid of honor Audra Charles balked at the switch on September 23 before Sally talked her down. Sally clearly wants a grudge-free wedding. Whether her guests got that memo is another story, and fans trading Genoa City scoop are already split on it.

Then there is Victoria Newman, Billy’s ex-wife twice over and the mother of his daughter Katie. Lily Winters has not RSVP’d on screen, but Billy all but invited her on September 23 when he told Cane Ashby he could come as Lily’s plus one. Billy and Lily dated on and off for years before the Chancellor fight turned them into business rivals. She is away in Chicago guarding a secret right now, which makes her the wild card at any Billy Abbott wedding.

Sally’s side of the aisle carries its own baggage. Billy asked Adam Newman on September 21 to do the decent thing and stay away, a standoff we flagged when the wedding drama first erupted. By September 23, Adam had agreed to attend as Chelsea’s guest and promised to behave. Billy has never let go of the 2013 hit-and-run in which Adam killed his daughter Delia, and Adam is also the father of the daughter Sally lost in 2023.

Did Sally Spectra and Jack Abbott Ever Date?

Briefly, yes, and that is the twist hiding in plain sight. Jack Abbott, Billy Abbott’s half-brother, agreed to be best man back in June, and he is also Sally’s short-lived flame from 2021. Jack kissed Sally on the March 9, 2021 episode and ended things for good that July, with nothing on record showing they ever slept together. So the man standing at Billy’s side once had his own shot with the bride.

Here is what the fan count missed. Chloe, Billy’s other ex-wife, was in the bridal party until September 18, and Adam’s ban is already history. One quick correction to the chatter, too: Victoria is Katie’s mother and Johnny’s adoptive mother, while Johnny’s biological mother is Chelsea. Tally it up and Sally could be looking at five exes between the two of them, three of Billy’s if Lily shows, plus Jack at the altar and Adam in the pews.

My gut tells me the danger is not the ex in the bridesmaid dress. It is Victoria, sitting a few rows from Kyle, after someone already spotted him leaving the motel on September 24. Executive producer Sally McDonald has promised the wedding of the year and told fans to expect the unexpected, and nothing says unexpected like an affair unraveling over champagne.

Don’t be surprised if Adam tests that promise to behave, either. If I know these writers, somebody on this guest list stands up when the officiant asks for objections, and Billy Abbott may not like who it is. Nobody has even said yet whether Billy’s ex Phyllis Summers made the cut.
