Hail The Queen Of The Docks! GH’s Josslyn Jacks Is Stealing Sonny Corinthos’s Kingdom, And The Crown Fits Awfully Well
Josslyn Jacks vows to dismantle Sonny’s empire, but after rigging an auction and grabbing his piers, GH’s Joss may be the next boss.
JOSSLYN JACKS BUYS PORT CHARLES’S PIERS AND A POWER PROBLEM
TL;DR: GH’s Josslyn Jacks swears she is dismantling Sonny Corinthos’s empire to protect Port Charles, but one rigged auction and one very pricey pair of piers suggest she may be acquiring a taste for the throne.

Little Miss WSB Is Shopping For A Throne
Josslyn Jacks is not on a crusade, she is on a shopping spree with a grudge. On October 5 she asked her WSB boss, William Baines, to hand off JJE so she could take down Sonny Corinthos, heard him call it a personal vendetta, nodded like a perfect little agent, and marched straight to Hudson Parker to order an acquisitions plan for demolishing the man.
By Monday the plan had a trophy. Sonny and Ric Lansing were so certain their anonymous bid for Piers 55 and 56 had won that Sonny wanted a front-row seat for Drew Cain’s reaction. Then Hudson slid in a last-second winning bid for JJE, and Joss strolled into the Metro Court conference room to announce that Hudson worked for her. Her victory lap came with a side of crime, because she had already sneaked into the hotel’s electrical closet and disabled a security feature on the auction system.
She has been marinating in this since October 2, when she told Trina Robinson that Sonny will never quit, that he adores being ruthless while convincing people he is decent, and that no one is going to stop her. Trina, who used to think Joss painted Sonny as a bigger monster than he was, promised to have the champagne ready.

Rules Are For Agents, Not Queens
Josslyn Jacks was handed one rule by her boss and one warning by her right-hand man, and she ignored both. Baines gave her a choice between following orders and resigning, and she pretended to fall in line while plotting to do the opposite. Hudson told her that using JJE for personal revenge could sink the entire company, and she reminded him who holds the CEO title.
Real heroes do not break into electrical closets to rig a bidding war. That is how a person behaves once she has decided the ends excuse the means. Anna Devane sat across from Carly Spencer last week and agreed Carly should be worried about Joss, and Anna of all people knows what happens when a righteous mission starts eating the woman carrying it.
A Crown Needs A Vacuum
Here is where the throne talk gets juicy. If Sonny’s businesses crumble, Port Charles does not become a quiet little town with a lovely waterfront. It becomes a vacuum, and vacuums in this town get filled by whoever has the money, the muscle and the audacity.
Joss has the money, thanks to JJE. She has an eager lieutenant in Hudson. She even has the audacity, as proven by a closet and a smirk. Tuesday’s preview says Sonny targets a new rival, and Thursday has Sonny and Ric plotting while Joss defends herself. If Josslyn Jacks empties Sonny’s chair, somebody has to sit in it, and she has already measured the cushions.

She Learned From The Best
Sonny insists everything he has ever done was to provide for and protect his family. Joss insists everything she is doing is to protect Port Charles. Squint and those two speeches share the same melody.
The scariest part is that her enemies will help her along. Ric and Drew want to know who the mystery bidder works for, and the answer is a twenty-something with a grudge and a corporate credit line. Sonny will not sit still while his old stepdaughter eats his piers, and every punch he throws at her makes her look like the only person standing between him and the harbor.

Long Live The Queen Of The Docks
Josslyn Jacks swears she is cleaning up Port Charles, and the cruelest twist would be if she believes it every step of the way while she turns into the next boss. Power rarely announces itself. It starts with a closet, a lie to the boss and a very expensive pair of piers.
