Cat’s Bet on EJ Paid Off in a Day

The Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of October 19 hang on one question: whose side is Cat Greene on? On Tuesday she walked away. On Wednesday, EJ DiMera stopped her at the door, said she may be the only person he can still trust, and asked her to use her ISA skills to find out whether Dominic Marino is his half brother. Then he kissed her. But EJ never hired her back; she only agreed to help.

None of this was an accident. As our daily recaps showed, Cat quit on September 24 because EJ would not trust her. Days later she told Rafe Hernandez she believed EJ would miss having her around, and told friends she had made a bet. On Tuesday she admitted to Marlena Evans that she quit to see if EJ would come around. Then she went to drop off her laptop and keys, and he would not let her leave.

She did give him a warning first. Cat told EJ flatly that she no longer has any ISA contacts, and that helping could be hard after how personal things got. EJ had just told her his son, Johnny DiMera, went to the police and that Rita Lesley betrayed him too. He promised never to hurt her like that again, she whispered that she missed him, and they kissed under Stefano DiMera‘s portrait.

The ISA Card She Says She No Longer Holds

Here is where it gets juicy. Spoiler chatter for October 19 to 23 says Cat could quietly use her ISA connections anyway, feeding EJ a few nuggets about Dominic to lull him into a false sense of security. Another version has the FBI wanting her to back up Johnny’s statement. No preview for that week is out yet, so treat all of it as a forecast, not a spoiler.

It fits Cat Greene’s record. On August 31 she told EJ she used to be ISA, “just a desk jockey,” while quietly meeting with Rafe, the FBI agent she has been working with against EJ all fall. The show’s own episode description for September 29 had Cat updating Rafe on her “risky plan.” Nothing on screen has shown her drop it.

Is Cat Greene Working Against EJ DiMera on Days of Our Lives?

She was, and the kiss has not answered whether she still is. That is the part most coverage skips. Wednesday was not EJ winning Cat Greene back. It was Cat winning a bet she told two people about, and the payoff is access to the DiMera family’s biggest secret.

EJ is no fool, either. He knows about her ISA past, and back in September he told her there is no such thing as former ISA. One preview writer wondered whether EJ wants her close just to keep an eye on her. Remember, Cat walked away once before, and we wrote about it when EJ first came asking for her.

The Dominic File: What Salem Actually Knows

Dominic has never been seen on screen, and no actor has been cast. Here is the paper trail. On September 25, Steve Johnson showed Marlena a copy of Dominic’s birth certificate. It lists Stefano as the father and Marlena as the mother, with the full name Dominic Nero Marino DiMera. Nero is Italian for black.

Paper is not proof. No DNA test has been done, Marlena did not want to believe it, and Steve’s own ISA contact came up empty on Dominic in September. What we do know: his boarding school roommate was Dante Vitali, and he signed for the Kiriakis mansion, then pulled out of the sale on Wednesday. On Tuesday, EJ told Chad DiMera that Dominic may be their brother. Fans on one soap message board keep asking why the man still has no casting announcement.

What Cat Could Find, and Who Gets It First

If Cat Greene does still have a line into the ISA, what would they know about a DiMera heir? My gut tells me whatever she finds goes to Rafe before it ever reaches EJ.

Chad is the wild card. He dated Cat until October 2025, and on Tuesday he told her he does not trust her either. If I know these writers, the man who might be Chad’s brother becomes the wedge that forces Cat to choose: EJ, Rafe or herself.

Our take: Cat earned this. She bet on EJ missing her and she was right, so she should take the Dominic job, keep her own counsel and hand over nothing until she knows what it is worth. If the kiss was real, that is a bonus, not a reason to fold.
