IS AVA JEROME BUILDING HER OWN INSURANCE POLICY AGAINST DREW?

TL;DR: GH’s Ava Jerome is starting to look like the weak link in the Jack Brennan cover-up, with Joe retracing Jack’s last steps and Ava put on the spot in next week’s spoilers. Does that make her the one who cracks? Or is her “dangerous plan” for Drew Cain really an insurance policy of her own, with Ava setting him up before he sets her up? Keep up with every twist on our GH spoilers page.

The Weak Link Wears Heels And Holds The Shovel

Ava Jerome is the loose thread in the tidiest burial Port Charles has ever staged, and she keeps pointing at it herself. The night she and Drew Cain rolled Jack Brennan into the nature preserve, she apologized to the body. Days later she warned Drew that if she goes down for Jack, he goes down with her, then repeated it when a rare tick threatened to trace the whole mess back to that patch of dirt. (A bug. The perfect crime nearly got undone by a bug.)

Drew has shown exactly what that partnership is worth. He tucked Jack’s wallet under Nina Reeves’s car seat without telling Ava, and when she stormed over furious, he called it an insurance policy so neither of them would lose their kids. Ava then watched WSB agents haul a hysterical Nina away. That is not a man who values his partner. That is a man who keeps a spare scapegoat in the garage.

The net is closing from two sides, and Ava is standing in the gap. Joe Fitzpatrick is retracing Jack’s final movements, which eventually leads to whoever spiked his last drink. Spoiler: it was Ava. Willow Tait is hiding behind a libel suit, so the heat has to land somewhere, and next week’s spoilers have Ava put on the spot.

Drew Is Already Tidying Up His Story

Listen to what Drew told Ava at the Cat’s Eye Lounge. The link to Jack will fade, he has decided how to handle the reporter, and he will say Willow never drugged him. Ava was already guzzling a martini when he showed up, which tells you how relaxed she feels about all of this. A man who plants wallets is a man who tidies as he goes, and he has already framed one of Ava Jerome’s friends. Drew did not apologize to Jack, and he did not apologize to Nina. He apologizes to nobody, which makes him a great partner right up until he stops needing one.

So who is the next most convenient suspect? The woman who warned him she would talk. Drew has the framing muscle memory, and Ava is the loosest end he has left.

The Insurance Policy Cuts Both Ways

Here is where next week gets spicy. Ava pitches Drew a dangerous plan, and Drew will assume it is for him. Imagine it is bait. She has already asked him how to use the article about Willow to help Nina, so she is clearly thinking about someone other than herself. Is it possible Ava Jerome is writing her own policy, one with Drew’s name on the deed?

Imagine the plan needs Drew standing somewhere very incriminating with Joe one step behind him. Imagine Ava handing over a map to the preserve and leaving Drew holding the shovel. She is one of the few people who knows exactly where it went, and she apologized to Jack at that grave. Maybe she has decided someone has to pay for it, and the bill is not going to her.

Somebody Is Going To Be Left Holding The Shovel

Ava Jerome promised Drew they would sink together, but promises made over a fresh grave tend to expire quickly. Is she the weak link who cracks first, or the one who snaps the trap shut before he does?
