The Young and the Restless March 14th Recap: Phyllis’s Performance Raises Suspicions and Nate Receives an Indecent Proposal
This week on The Young and the Restless, tensions are high as Phyllis’s behavior raises suspicions and Victoria extends a provocative invitation to Nate. Meanwhile, Jack and Diane’s engagement has the Abbott family questioning their motives, and Sally’s dreams reveal her conflicted feelings about Adam.
In the Abbott house, Kyle, Summer, Jack, and Diane discuss Jack and Diane’s sudden engagement. Kyle is taken aback by the timing, wondering if it’s because of Jeremy Stark’s threat. Summer makes faces throughout the conversation, skeptical of the engagement and wondering if it’s part of Diane’s plan all along. Jack assures everyone that he fell back in love with Diane when he realized she was trying to protect Kyle and Harrison too, and that their love has been put to the test over many years and can’t be extinguished. Despite some family members’ reservations, Jack and Diane are excited to start their new life together.
Meanwhile, outside Society, Phyllis warns Jeremy Stark not to harm her family, but is interrupted by Lauren. Phyllis covers by saying she was on the phone with her manicurist, but Lauren is skeptical of her behavior and proposes a girls’ trip to Vegas for the weekend. However, Phyllis insists she can’t leave town at the moment because of “things going on.” Lauren’s suspicions are heightened when Phyllis appears surprised to see Jack and Diane back in town, and she wonders what her friend is up to.
At the Grand Phoenix, Nick walks in on Sally’s dreams about Adam, in which he tells her they’re meant to be together and that their connection is what the baby represents. Sally wakes up to Nick knocking on her door, and the two of them have a passionate romp in her suite. Afterwards, Nick questions Sally’s behavior and asks if she’s still feeling conflicted about Adam. Sally admits she’s been having anxiety dreams about what the future might hold, and wonders if she’ll be able to handle the onslaught that’s about to come from his family.
In the lobby, Victoria discusses the McCall deal with Nate, but Nick is disinterested and heads upstairs. Victoria and Nate’s conversation takes a turn when they discuss Tucker and Ashley’s relationship, with Victoria suggesting they’re mixing business with pleasure. Nate wonders if Ashley used her leverage to force Tucker into selling to Devon, but Victoria disagrees. Suddenly, the conversation takes a seductive turn, and Victoria asks Nate what’s going on between them.
Back at Society, Phyllis puts on a performance for Jack, Diane, and Lauren, insisting that she wants nothing but happiness for the couple. However, Lauren is suspicious of her behavior and wonders what she’s up to. Phyllis brushes off her concerns and encourages Jack and Diane to enjoy their meal, but Lauren is not convinced.
