Beyond the Gates Is Hitting Love Hard

Beyond the Gates fans and everyone in and out of Nicole Richardson’s home in Fairmont Crest knows she loves some Febreze… but really, Ted?? Although BTG fans haven’t seen Mona in a bit, she runs the house, and Nicole does not need any extra Febreze from Ted.

It’s about time that Ted Richardson buys a clue. Even Anita and Vernon Dupree have promoted Bill Hamilton to the top of their non-Dupree list above Ted Richardson.

Ted Richardson Pops Out of His Hole Only to Dig Another

Finally, for one freaking day since the role of Ted Richardson was originally portrayed by Maurice Johnson, Beyond the Gates fans were ready to jump on board with the first recast on this new soap opera. Well, that’s done. 

Ted Richardson by Kevin Robinson was Turtleneck Ted by Maurice Robinson without a turtleneck for just one day when he finally stood up to Leslie/Danta Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant), and now it’s done.

Could Ted have dug himself a bigger hole at Anita and Vernon Dupree’s (Tamara Tunie and Clifton Davis) home after not being invited? Ted totally stepped up to prevent Leslie/Dana Thomas from moving in across from Anita and Vernon in Beyond the Gates inside Fairmont Crest, but did he really need to step into the Dupree main house to profess this ASAP?

Um, Ted’s niece, Chelsea (Rhonni Rose Mantilla), was just kidnapped by her ex-lover, who she had no idea was psycho. The Duprees pulled out all of the stops to find her. Ted has been married to Dr. Nicole Richardson (Daphnee Duplaix) for nearly thirty years.

It’s not Ted’s first freaking day. While most families would prioritize a kidnapping with a successful rescue over some neighborhood real estate matters, the Duprees are not most families… They are the freaking Duprees and the DOUBLE DOWN.

Bill Hamilton’s Dupree Brownie Points with Boundaries

Beyond the Gates fans are aware of Bill Hamilton’s (Timon Kyle Durrett) child bride, Hayley Hamilton (Marquita Goings), and so are all of the Duprees. Even so, Bill has earned enough Dupree brownie points to somehow surpass the once squeaky-clean Ted.

If only Ted Richardson had taken a chill pill or two out of Dr. Nicole’s medicine cabinet and not doubled down on his latest real estate move when all of the Duprees, plus Bill Hamilton, threw down to oust him out of the Dupree main house.

Ted has no idea when to hold them or when to fold them. There isn’t any amount of Febreze that will freshen the latest hole Ted has dug for himself
