Pregnant & In Peril! What if Willow Tait is Carrying Drew’s Child?!
Willow Tait is on trial for shooting Drew Cain. But what if she’s pregnant with his baby? That changes everything about this case.
WILLOW TAIT COULD BE CARRYING DREW’S CHILD AND THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING!
TL;DR: Willow Tait is on trial for shooting Drew Cain, the man she left her husband for and married twice. But what if there’s a baby on the way? A pregnancy would complicate the trial, the custody battle, and Michael’s entire revenge plot on General Hospital.
The Timing Would Be Catastrophic
Let’s do some soap opera math. Willow Tait and Drew Cain have been together for months. They’ve had two weddings. They infamously had sex in the nursery where her children sleep. If General Hospital wanted to drop a pregnancy bomb right now, the timing would line up perfectly.
Willow is currently on trial for shooting Drew on General Hospital. The prosecution has argued that Drew “seduced Willow away from her husband and family, thereby destroying her life.” They have traffic cam footage of her driving to his house the night he was shot. If she’s pregnant with his baby while sitting in that courtroom, every single argument changes.

A Baby Complicates the Motive
The prosecution’s case rests on the idea that Willow Tait had motive to want Drew dead. Justine argued that Drew’s affair with Willow gave her reason to want to “remove Drew personally.”
But if Willow is pregnant with Drew’s baby, that motive falls apart. Why would a woman planning to kill her husband also be planning to have his child? A pregnancy suggests commitment, not rage. The optics alone could create reasonable doubt.
Michael Would Lose His Mind
Michael Corinthos is almost certainly the one who shot Drew. He’s been framing Willow, dating Jacinda to create a fake alibi, and fighting for full custody. His entire plan depends on Willow looking like an unstable, dangerous mother who tried to murder a congressman.
A pregnancy would demolish that narrative.
If Willow is carrying Drew’s baby, she’s not just the woman who left Michael. She’s the woman building a new family with his uncle. She’s giving Wiley and Amelia a sibling who is also their cousin. Michael has been parading Jacinda around with Wiley, trying to replace Willow. But a pregnant Willow reminds everyone she’s a mother, not a murderer.
Drew Might Actually Fight for Her
Drew has been a complicated ally throughout this trial. He wants Willow exonerated, but he also wants Michael to go down for the shooting. He’s been making deals and threatening people and generally acting like the congressman everyone loves to hate.
But a baby would change Drew’s investment entirely. Right now, he’s fighting to protect his wife and get revenge on Michael. If she’s pregnant, suddenly he’s fighting to protect the mother of his unborn child. Drew would burn down Port Charles to keep Willow out of prison if she’s carrying his baby.
The Custody Battle Gets Even Messier
Michael has been fighting for full custody of Wiley and Amelia, arguing that Willow is unstable and unfit. But family court judges tend to look favorably on pregnant women. A visibly pregnant Willow fighting for her children is sympathetic in ways that work against Michael’s narrative.
Plus, if Willow is acquitted AND pregnant, she has a much stronger case for custody. She’d be a free woman, married to a congressman, expecting another child, and stable enough to provide a home for all her kids together. Michael’s revenge plot might actually backfire spectacularly.
What About Willow’s Health?
Here’s the dark possibility. Willow has been through hell. She’s been in Pentonville, had multiple mental breakdowns, and been under constant stress from the trial and custody battle.
If she’s pregnant, that stress could put both her and the baby at risk. Imagine: Willow collapses in the courtroom, she’s rushed to the hospital, everyone discovers she’s pregnant, and the trial gets delayed. Michael realizes that if anything happens to Willow or the baby, he’ll look like the villain who caused it.
The drama writes itself.

I certainly hope GH writer don’t allow anything to occur that would lead to Willow being strapped with Drew for the lifetime of raising a child together. The Willow/Drew story line has gone on long enough and does not need to be carried on any longer. Viewers are tired of the Drew Show and would like to see some other story lines be developed. Hope Soap Opera Magazine is absolutely wrong with this prediction.
