DREW CAIN HAD A TERRIBLE HEADACHE BEFORE WILLOW EVER TOUCHED HIM โ€” WHAT IF SIDWELL GOT THERE FIRST?

TL;DR: A reader just blew our minds with a follow-up to Pink’s Willow theory. Drew Cain had a “terrible headache” BEFORE Willow injected him on General Hospital. What if Jenz Sidwell poisoned Drew first, and Willow just finished the job? She might be taking the fall for something Sidwell started.

Pink’s Original Theory Got Us Thinking

Last week, our reader who only goes by Pink sent in a brilliant theory about Willow Tait being the one who took Drew Cain out โ€” and Pink was absolutely right. We saw Willow dispose of that syringe with a smile, and the flashbacks confirmed she’s the one who pulled the trigger, so to speak.

But then reader Marilyn Oliphant wrote in with a chilling addition to the theory, and now we can’t stop thinking about it.

Marilyn pointed out that “Weeping Black Widow Willow” may have another escape route:ย General Hospitalย villain Jenz Sidwell. According to Marilyn, Sidwell had already deemed “Drippy Drew” a liability and was actively looking for another DC connection to replace him. What better opportunity would Sidwell have than to sneak in and give the senator a “deadly highball” before Willow ever got her hands on him?

The Timeline Supports This Theory

Here’s where it gets really interesting. We went back to the January 21 recap to check the details of Drew’s collapse, and guess what we found?

When Willow told Liz what happened, she said they were celebrating her acquittal at home and were about to have champagne โ€” but Drew already had a “terrible headache.” THEN he became confused, started slurring his words, and collapsed.

The headache came FIRST. Before the champagne. Before Willow could have injected him with anything.

What if that headache wasn’t random? What if Jenz Sidwell slipped something into Drew’s drink earlier that day, and the symptoms were already starting to show? Willow’s injection would have come AFTER Drew was already compromised by whatever Sidwell gave him.

Sidwell Had Motive and Opportunity

Let’s look at what we know about Jenz Sidwell’s relationship with Drew. Sidwell considered Drew Cain a “liability” โ€” never a good label to have when you’re dealing with a dangerous international figure. He was actively searching for a new DC connection to replace Drew, which means Drew had become more trouble than he was worth.

Sidwell has resources. He has connections. He has Wyndemere, where all kinds of shady things are happening right now. And he has absolutely no qualms about eliminating problems permanently.

If Sidwell wanted Drew gone, he could have easily arranged for something to be slipped into his drink at a meeting, a restaurant, anywhere. Drew wouldn’t have even known what hit him. By the time the headache set in, the damage was already done.

What Does This Mean for Willow?

Here’s where it gets complicated. Willow absolutely injected Drew with something โ€” we saw the syringe, we saw her dispose of it, we saw her smile. She THINKS she’s the one who took him out. But what if her injection only accelerated what Sidwell had already set in motion?

This creates several possible scenarios. First, Willow could take the fall for something Sidwell actually did. She’d go to prison believing she’s guilty when really Sidwell is the one who delivered the fatal blow. Second, Willow’s injection combined with Sidwell’s poison could have made everything worse. Maybe Drew would have survived Sidwell’s poison, but Willow’s addition pushed him over the edge. Third, Jason could figure out it was Sidwell, and Willow gets off scot-free. If Jason connects those dots on Friday like the spoilers say, he might discover the Sidwell connection and realize Willow isn’t entirely to blame.

Either way, Drew Cain made enemies everywhere he turned, and it looks like more than one of them decided to do something about it.

Thank you to Pink and Marilyn Oliphant for these incredible theories! Keep them coming โ€” we love hearing from you! Got one of your own? Put it in the comments!
