Lucy Brought a Picnic Basket and Found Ava on the Couch

Lucy Coe arrived at Wyndemere ready for a romantic brunch with Jenz Sidwell on General Hospital. She had a picnic basket. She had plans. She had been circling this man for a year.

And she found Ava Jerome sitting on the couch with him, cozy as can be, in the middle of an online art auction.

Lucy did not bring enough food for three. And she did not bring enough patience for this.

The Claws Came Out

Once Sidwell left to get more food from the chef, Lucy and Ava were alone. And they did not waste a single second being polite about it.

They went after each other over artwork and real estate commissions. Over Ava’s relationship with Nikolas. Over Lucy’s collection of husbands. Over Ava’s criminal history. Over how Ava had managed to worm her way closer to Sidwell in a matter of months while Lucy had been put off to the side after an entire year.

This was not subtle. This was two women who understand exactly what they are fighting over — and neither one plans to lose.

Lucy Gave Him an Ultimatum and He Did Not Blink

When Sidwell returned and noticed the tension, Lucy could not hold back anymore. She offered to tell him the entire “sordid” story about “that lunatic” he was spending so much time with.

Sidwell shut her down. He told Lucy he was aware of the skeletons in Ava’s closet — and in Lucy’s — and if Lucy had been given a second chance, so should Ava.

So Lucy went nuclear. She demanded that Jenz choose between them.

And Jenz Sidwell looked her in the eye and said he does not take ultimatums from anyone. Not even someone he cares about as much as her.

Lucy grabbed her coat and walked out the door. When Sidwell asked if she wanted to take her picnic basket, she spat that he might get hungry because Ava always leaves people wanting.

The door closed. Lucy was gone. And Ava Jerome just won a round she was not even trying to win.

This Is Going to End in Disaster

Let us be very clear about something: Jenz Sidwell is not a good man. He held Drew Cain captive. He is connected to whatever is happening beneath Wyndemere. He is partnered with Ross Cullum, who is forcing Britt Westbourne to complete her father’s final project. Sidwell is charming, yes. But he is also dangerous.

And now two women are fighting over him.

Lucy Coe just made an enemy of a man who does not take kindly to being told what to do. She also made an enemy of Ava Jerome, who has literally gotten away with murder. Lucy walked out thinking she was making a power move, but what she actually did was leave the field wide open for Ava — and put a target on her own back.

Ava Jerome Always Wins Until She Doesn’t

Ava did not even have to fight for this victory. She was just sitting on a couch looking at art, and Lucy self-destructed right in front of her.

But Ava should not get too comfortable. Sidwell keeping her around does not mean Sidwell is safe. This is a man with secrets buried beneath a castle. This is a man whose business partner just threatened Carly Spencer. This is a man who collects dangerous people the way other men collect art.

Ava thinks she is playing Sidwell. But what if Sidwell is playing her?

And Lucy, scorned and humiliated, is not going to take this quietly. She said Ava always leaves people wanting — but Lucy Coe always comes back for revenge.

This love triangle is not over. It is just getting started. And someone is going to get hurt.
