GH SHOCKER! Cullum Kidnapped Liesl Obrecht and What’s Waiting Could Break Her!
General Hospital Spoilers: Cullum kidnapped Liesl Obrecht and could stage a reunion with Cassius posing as her dead son at Wyndemere.
LIESL OBRECHT WALKED OUT TO HER CAR AND CULLUM WAS WAITING IN THE BACKSEAT
TL;DR: On General Hospital, Liesl Obrecht went to G.H. to tear through Britt’s office for clues about her fugitive daughter’s location. She walked out to her car, climbed in, and was attacked from the backseat by Cullum, who covered her mouth with a gloved hand. The Sidwell operation lost their lead scientist when Britt fled. They need her replacement. Liesl shares Britt’s blood and her IQ. She is heading to Wyndemere. Cassius lives at Wyndemere. Cassius is posing as her dead son “Nathan.” One hallway could detonate the cruelest reunion of her life, and a broken Liesl is exactly what Cullum needs to finish the cold fusion project.
Cullum Grabbed Her in the G.H. Parking Lot
Bestie, sit down, because Liesl Obrecht walked out to her car after searching Britt’s office at General Hospital, climbed into the driver’s seat, and was attacked from the backseat by Cullum, who covered her mouth with a gloved hand. The kidnapping is a soap bombshell in itself. Where she ends up could be the most emotionally shattering reveal of the year. Wyndemere is where Cullum operates. Wyndemere is where Cassius lives. Cassius is posing as her dead son “Nathan.” If Cullum walks Liesl through those doors, she could come face to face with a man wearing the face of the child she has mourned for years.

The Kidnapping in the Parking Lot
Liesl had been at G.H. tearing through Britt’s office for any clue about where her daughter ran to. Britt is a fugitive with Huntington’s disease and her mother is terrified. Liesl got back to her car not knowing Cullum had let himself into the backseat. The gloved hand came up over her mouth before she could scream. The episode cut to black on the grab.
Why Cullum Took Her
The Sidwell operation lost Britt this week and the project is collapsing. Earlier in the episode Cullum told Sidwell straight up that they need a scientist with a great mind to finish Britt’s work. There is exactly one mind in Port Charles that matches that description and shares Britt’s blood. Liesl Obrecht is the replacement. Cullum did not take her for revenge. He took her for cold-fusion-grade IQ.
Wyndemere Is the Only Plausible Destination
The basement room under Wyndemere held Anna Devane for months. It held Josslyn for weeks. It is purpose-built for prisoners with brains too valuable to kill. Liesl is going there. The cell is going to be lit, the lab is going to be wheeled in, and a gloved Cullum is going to demand she pick up where her daughter left off.
What Liesl does not know yet is who else lives on that island.
The Cruel Illusion at the End of the Hallway
Cassius is posing as Nathan. The Faison family operative who runs Wyndemere security for Sidwell has been walking around in the identity of the son Liesl buried. If she rounds a corner at Wyndemere and sees him, the recognition is going to detonate her whole nervous system. She is going to call out her son’s name. She is going to reach for him. She is going to look at the eyes of the boy she lost and believe for one second that the universe gave him back.
It will not be him. The cruelty of this reveal is the point.
Britt Could Be the Witness
If Cullum has tracked down Britt, both of Liesl’s children could be in that house at the same time. One a fugitive in custody. One an impostor wearing Nathan’s face. Liesl Obrecht in the middle of them, screaming at Cullum, screaming at the man calling himself Nathan, screaming for the truth about what happened to her real son.
This is the Daytime Emmy submission they have been winding up for years.
The Cesar Faison Card Is Already on the Table
Cullum used Cesar Faison to gaslight Anna Devane all the way into a French maximum-security psychiatric facility. The play worked because Liesl spent years convinced Faison was alive and pestering everyone about it. Cullum knows the Faison name is a loaded gun in this family. If he wants Liesl to cooperate, he could dangle Cesar’s name. He could dangle Nathan’s name. He could let her see Cassius and let her assume.
A broken Liesl is a productive Liesl.
What This Means for Anna
Anna Devane is locked in a French asylum because Cullum used the Faison playbook on her. If Liesl realizes the same man who is holding her also captured Anna, the Devane rescue mission Valentin is plotting in Carly Spencer’s living room now has a witness inside Wyndemere. Liesl going down could end up being the thing that gets Anna out.
The Reveal Is Coming One Way or Another
Bestie, pour the chardonnay. Cullum is the worst kind of villain because he does not kidnap. He stages. Liesl Obrecht walked out to her car a worried mother and woke up inside the soapiest storyline on General Hospital. One Wyndemere hallway is the only thing standing between her and the face of the son she lost. The reveal is coming. The only question is whether Liesl walks out of that house knowing the truth or buying the lie.
