What We Already Know

Xander Kiriakis and Philip Kiriakis discovered this week that someone paid off the Titan loan. Anonymously. Quietly. We have a theory about who signed that check. And if we are right, Vivian Alamain is not dead. She is playing the longest, most diabolical chess game in Salem history, and the Kiriakis family just became her opening move.

Picture it. She is last reported untraceable, possibly in EJ’s custody, with a gravestone found in Alamainia. Salem declared her gone. EJ probably slept a little better.

But Ivan is alive. He has been alive this whole time, recently filing reports on who had been staying at the Alamain estate. That is not the behavior of a man whose employer is dead. That is the behavior of a man still very much on the payroll, feeding Days of Our Lives intelligence back to a woman who has faked her own death before and would do it again without losing a minute of sleep.

Vivian Alamain has always had resources the rest of Salem cannot account for. Alamain money is old money. The kind that moves across borders, through shell companies, and arrives in a Salem bank account as an anonymous wire transfer on a Tuesday with no explanation attached.

Why Vivian Would Do This

Here is the part of this theory that makes us absolutely certain we are right. What does she want more than anything in the world?

She wants Titan. She has always wanted Titan. She forged a letter from Victor Kiriakis to get Philip installed as its rightful heir and tried to use the company to run her own operations before Maggie got the will sorted and threw her out of the mansion.

But what Vivian wants now is not simply Titan. What she wants is EJ DiMera to lose. EJ made a move against her. He is the reason she is untraceable, the reason Ivan went dark, the reason a gravestone appeared in Alamainia. She does not forget that kind of insult.

Picture it. Vivian, from wherever she is, watches EJ’s empire crack under the weight of the Coriseal cover-up. DiMera Pharmaceuticals is under investigation. EJ is surrounded and he knows it. And she decides this is exactly the moment to shore up his most dangerous competition.

The Real Target Is EJ

If Vivian Alamain pays off the Titan loan, she is not doing it out of love for Xander Kiriakis or nostalgia for Victor’s legacy. She is doing it because a financially stable Titan with Xander and Philip at the wheel is the entity most likely to keep maximum pressure on DiMera Enterprises at the worst possible moment for EJ.

Vivian does not do favors. Vivian does leverage. What if the loan payoff comes with strings nobody can see yet? What if Xander and Philip think they are free only to find the woman who destabilized Titan now holds the receipt? That is a trap with excellent timing.

The Truly Diabolical Part

Here is where this theory goes completely off the rails. What if the loan payoff is step one of a plan that ends with Vivian standing in the DiMera living room, telling EJ she has been watching everything and she would like to discuss what he did to her?
