Diane Jenkins takes the syringe meant for Jack Abbott on Y&R, while he finally wakes up and Jill pushes Billy.

Diane Jenkins Takes the Needle Meant to Kill Jack
Patty Williams is back in Jack Abbott’s room with that same syringe, ready to finish what she started, telling him it didn’t have to be this way, he just had to stop choosing Diane. Before she can inject him, a guard wanders in to check on the patient, and Patty has to shove the needle away and play it off like Jack’s simply beating the odds again. She grumbles her way out of the room, plan foiled for a second time.
That’s when Kyle Abbott and Diane Jenkins spot her fleeing down the hall. Patty jogs, they chase, Kyle’s on the phone with Burrow warning that Patty might kill his mother, and for once that’s not hyperbole. Diane finally catches up and starts choking the life out of the woman who framed her for attempted murder. It’s righteous. It’s satisfying. It’s also a huge mistake, because Patty jabs that syringe straight into Diane’s neck before the guard and Kyle can drag them apart.
Patty gets cuffed. Diane gets carried off by her son, injected with God knows what. And somehow this family still calls itself lucky.

Jack Abbott Finally Wakes Up
Traci Abbott shows up to Jack’s room wondering where everyone went, and pleads with her brother to wake up and be the family’s rock again. She insists Diane has moved past what he did, but he needs to open his eyes and save his wife now.
He does. Groggily, and immediately asking after Diane. Traci assures him she’s safe, which, timeline-wise, is generous. When Traci steps out for a nurse, Jack flashes back to being stabbed and grunts in pain, prompting a full medical check. Once he’s stable enough to talk, he tells Traci flatly that he knows Patty did this to him and demands to know where she is. Traci has to break the news that Patty pinned it all on Diane and Diane got arrested for it. Welcome back to consciousness, Jack. Everything’s terrible.
Jill Abbott Forces Billy Abbott Into a Reckoning
At Billy Abbott’s place, Jill Abbott tours the home Sally decorated and admires the photos, then gets straight to business: they’re working through their problems right now, no more avoidance.
Billy suggests their issues might be unfixable. Jill refuses to accept that, especially with him supposedly getting his priorities straight. He accuses her of judging him, and they’re off, rehashing his addiction, his excuses, every mistake going back to the Brash & Sassy days. Jill owns being hard on him but won’t pretend his history doesn’t exist. She wants a clean slate before she runs out of time to get one, and asks him to come to London so they can actually heal this instead of circling it forever.
Cane Ashby Gives Holden Novak a Fresh Start
Over at Cane Ashby and Lily Winters’ waterfront pitch session (working title: Chancellor Way, apparently they both had the same idea, sure), Holden Novak wanders in mid-conversation about his mom’s living situation. He loves her, he’s just not thrilled she’s parked down the hall from him at the club.
Cane offers him a job at Chancellor on the spot, no strings, no family favors, just an actual opportunity. Holden takes it, and Lily admits out loud that Cane keeps surprising her, which unsettles her more than it should. She’s watched him be five different people since he came back and still doesn’t fully trust the version standing in front of her now.
Holden calls Claire Newman to share the good news, and she’s thrilled for him right up until she hears “Cane” and “job” in the same sentence. She thinks it’s a mistake given everything Cane’s done. Holden reminds her Victor’s hardly a saint either, and they agree to keep their corporate wars out of their friendship, for now.
