A Hawaii Love Story, Round Two
Rory Gibson, who plays Michael Corinthos on General Hospital, married his longtime love Alicia Ruelas on July 11 in Kauai, Hawaii. The guest list stayed intimate, and there was a sweet reason for that: this marked the second time Hawaii played host to a major milestone for the couple.
Rory Gibson popped the question to Ruelas back in October 2022, on a beach in Maui. Nearly four years later, the pair returned to the islands to make it official, surrounded by family and friends.
People has the exclusive first look at the couple’s ceremony, and it is every bit as romantic as fans hoped. The outlet’s photos capture the Kauai vows before the newlyweds packed up the celebration and brought it home to Los Angeles for a second party with the rest of their loved ones on July 16.

The Ring Has a GH Connection Too
Rory Gibson’s wedding band carries a sweet bit of soap trivia: it was handcrafted by his General Hospital co-star Ryan Paevey, who moonlights as a jeweler when he is not on set. (See the ring up close here!) Ruelas confirmed the marriage with an Instagram video of the couple’s rings, captioned simply, “Officially Mrs. Gibson.”
