Sidwell may be behind bars, but Carlo Rota made it very clear his General Hospital villain is not fading into the background. During GH Fan Club Weekend, he dropped a detail that has fans buzzing about what’s next for Jenz Sidwell in Pentonville.
At a standing-room-only fan gathering at the Burbank Marriott, Carlo Rota revealed that Sidwell will not be doing his time alone. “I am in prison with another character from the show,” he told the room. “We share a cell.” He did not name names, and he is clearly enjoying keeping fans guessing about exactly who ends up sharing a cinderblock cell with Port Charles’s most notorious mastermind.

Rota and Contractor Brought the Laughs
Carlo Rota and his real-wife, Nazneen Contractor, who plays ADA Justine Turner, hosted the event together and spent the afternoon trading stories about life on the GH set. He opened up about working opposite Maura West’s Ava before Sidwell’s downfall, calling her “not only a fantastic person and actress” but also “accomplished.” He added, “She has five kids. We had a great time.”
One fan told Rota she could never tell if Sidwell was about to be charming or about to pull a knife, and he loved hearing it. “I like this,” he said. “What I try to do is play it genuine. I think it’s a stronger choice. I’m happy that you were confused by it.”
He also shared that he and Contractor run lines together at home, and that she has picked up a surprisingly good French accent doing Pascal’s dialogue opposite him. “There are pages and pages and pages,” he said of his script load. “I had many scenes with Pascal, and Nazneen started doing Pascal’s accent.”
Contractor was not shy about hyping up her husband either. “Carlo Rota is the most talented actor whom I’ve ever seen, and I say that not as his wife,” she told the crowd, before deadpanning, “I say that as his superior.” The room erupted, and she kept going, calling him “like a savant” and admitting she still finds herself asking, “How do you do that?”
