DAYS OF OUR LIVES SPOILERS: SALEM ROLLS UP ITS SLEEVES AS THE CARVERS BRACE FOR GOODBYE

TL;DR: Days of Our Lives Spoilers for Tuesday, August 18 send Salem to the hospital to give blood for Chanel while Theo unloads on Johnny over the Lexie lie. JJ comes home, Julie’s date derails, and Friday’s goodbye is already in sight.

The Carver Family Gets The News It Feared Most

Days of Our Lives spoilers for August 18, 2026 open on a Salem still reeling from Monday’s gut punch. Kayla Johnson sat Abe Carver and Theo Carver down and said the words nobody wanted spoken out loud. Lexie Carver is dying. Dr. Rolf’s resurrection drug is wearing off, and as it fades, her body is shutting down.

Treatment can buy her time. It cannot change where this road ends. Lexie agreed to the medication and transfusion plan anyway, because Abe and Theo begged for every extra day, and saying no to those two faces was never going to happen.

One floor over, Chanel DiMera picked the same day to have her premature labor turn dangerous. Her husband Johnny DiMera barely had a minute to breathe between crises, and now her blood count is dropping fast. Chanel needs a transfusion, and mama bear Paulina Price is not leaving that hallway for anything.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: A Blood Drive Turns Into A Battlefield

Tuesday’s episode sends a parade of familiar faces to Salem University Hospital to give blood as Chanel waits on her transfusion. What nobody planned was the seating chart. Theo and Johnny end up elbow to elbow in the donation chairs, and the temperature in that room drops ten degrees.

Theo just learned that Johnny knew how sick his mother was and kept it from him. Tuesday he says so, out loud, with no filter. Reading between the lines, Johnny will plead that he was honoring Lexie’s wishes. Theo will hear one thing only: family lied to him while the clock ran down.

Paulina rolls up her sleeve too, and she lands in conversation with Johnny before the cotton ball is even taped on. Her daughter is scared, her grandbaby is on the way early, and Lexie is fading down the hall. Nobody in Salem carries that much at once with more steel than Paulina.

Is Lexie Carver Dying Again On Days Of Our Lives?

Yes. Kayla confirmed on Monday that Lexie’s body is shutting down as the resurrection treatment fails, and medicine can only slow it now. Here is the piece the spoiler chatter keeps missing: Lexie is starting transfusion treatment of her own while Chanel waits on donors, which means two women in one family need blood at the same hospital in the same week, with Kayla working both cases. That blood drive is not a background beat. It is the whole story in miniature, one family giving what it can so two of its own can hold on.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers Bring JJ Back To Salem

Casey Moss returns as JJ on Tuesday, and he wastes no time. JJ reaches out to Gwen Rizczech first, then finds Theo at the hospital for a talk that lands at exactly the right moment. Trust these writers to park a returning face in the middle of the saddest week Salem has had all year.

Days Of Our Lives Spoilers: Matchmakers, Babysitters, And A Date Gone Sideways

Tuesday is not all tears. Tate Black and Holly Jonas put their heads together to play matchmaker, and those two scheming is never a small thing. Meanwhile Julie Williams steps out with Foster again, and the evening takes a turn nobody booked.

Blame the sweetest culprit in town. With Chanel and Johnny stuck at the hospital, their little boy Trey needs minders, and Aaron Greene and Arianna Horton wind up on baby duty. Don’t be surprised if these writers use one adorable toddler to kick off three new stories.

The rest of the week keeps its foot on the gas. Thursday, Theo refuses to forgive Johnny. Friday, Abe and Theo hope for more time while Chanel’s labor takes a frightening turn, and the full Salem schedule points at one wrenching finish. Nikki Crawford’s final scenes as Lexie stream that day, so keep the tissues close.

Salem Is Giving Blood And Saying Goodbye At The Same Time

Here is our take. Bringing Lexie back for five months just to lose her again could have felt like a stunt, and instead it has been the most human story on daytime. A mother getting found money with her son, a town lining up to give what runs in its veins, a baby fighting to arrive while a matriarch fights to stay. That is what this show was built for.

So watch Tuesday with your heart braced and your phone handy. Then come tell us your favorite Lexie memory, old run or new, over on our Facebook page. We will be lighting a candle in the comments right alongside you.

DOOL FAQ: Lexie, Chanel, And Tuesday’s Episode

When is Nikki Crawford’s last episode as Lexie Carver? Nikki Crawford’s final scenes as Lexie stream Friday, August 21, 2026 on Peacock, shared with Abe and Theo. Her limited resurrection run began March 6, 2026 and lasted about five months. The show has not aired a death scene, so watch Friday’s episode for how Salem says goodbye.

Did Chanel have her baby on Days of Our Lives yet? Not yet. Chanel went into premature labor in the Friday, August 14 episode and was hospitalized Monday with a dropping blood count that requires a transfusion. Spoilers say her labor takes a frightening turn by Friday, August 21, so the birth appears to be coming this week.

Why is Theo Carver angry with Johnny DiMera? Theo learned that Johnny knew about Lexie’s failing health and hid it from him. Tuesday’s episode has Theo confronting Johnny over the lie, and Thursday’s spoilers say Theo refuses to forgive him. With Lexie’s time running short, every hidden day feels stolen to Theo.
