DAYS Comings and Goings: A Salem Legend Comes Home, a New Face Debuts, and a Mystery Casting Lands
This week’s Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings bring a Salem legend home, a new face, and a mystery casting.
SALEM WELCOMES A HORTON MATRIARCH BACK, PLUS A NEW FACE AND A MYSTERY HIRE
TL;DR: This week’s Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings, running August 31 through September 4, bring Maggie Horton Kiriakis home right into the fallout of a decision made in her absence, add a new face and a mystery casting to Salem, and confirm two recast exits.
Days of Our Lives Comings & Goings Bring a Salem Legend Home
Suzanne Rogers steps back into Salem as Maggie Horton Kiriakis on Monday, August 31, and she’s walking right into the fallout of a decision made while she was away. Word is Maggie agreed to sell the family estate to a hedge fund billionaire rather than let EJ get his hands on it, so there’s plenty waiting for her to sort through. The timing also happens to line up with Rogers’s own real-life anniversary in the role, which makes the return feel extra fitting.

A New Face, a Mystery Casting, and Two Kids Headed to the Dance
Salem gets a new face Tuesday, September 1, when Brandon Butler debuts as Mason Whitfield. Days has also landed a proven soap vet for a still-under-wraps role: Brytni Sarpy, who spent 2015 to 2019 as Valerie Spencer on General Hospital and 2019 to 2024 as Dr. Elena Dawson on The Young and the Restless, joins the cast with her character kept firmly under lock and key for now.
Salem’s daddy-daughter dance is pulling in two familiar faces. Victoria Kiriakis is back in the picture Wednesday, September 2, with Angelica Nero stepping into scenes tied to the dance prep, dress already picked out. Charlotte DiMera gets more time on screen Thursday, September 3, as Pippa Blaylock‘s storyline heads toward that same event, with Charlotte already angling to bring along a friend who doesn’t have a dad of her own to take.
Rachel Black turns up again Thursday, September 3, with Lorelei Olivia Mote back in the role for a storyline built around a gift from home, and Maggie Carney‘s Rita is back at her desk Friday, September 4, though EJ’s assistant has her own ideas about which orders are worth following.
On the goodbye side, Alexander Elijah Bond and Autumn Gendron have wrapped their runs as Thomas and Charlotte DiMera, with Cole Gersmeyer now stepping into Thomas opposite Pippa Blaylock’s Charlotte.

Which Salem Story Wins the Week?
Maggie coming home to a decision she didn’t get to weigh in on herself is the kind of setup that guarantees at least one uncomfortable conversation, and with a new face, a mystery casting, and two kids both prepping for the same dance, Salem has a genuinely full week ahead.
