Beyond the Gates
Daytime Comings and Goings Week of August 31: A Mother Crashes L.A., a Villain Doubles Down in Fairmont Crest, and a Leading Man’s Drink Gets Spiked
This week’s Comings and Goings bring a real ghost story to Fairmont Crest, a new mother to L.A., and a shocking Port Charles goodbye.
DAYTIME COMINGS AND GOINGS BRING A NEW MOTHER, A GRIEVING DAUGHTER, AND A POISONED NIGHTCAP
TL;DR: This week’s Comings and Goings are a loaded one. Bold and the Beautiful welcomes Melissa Dylan’s mother into the fold alongside a wave of familiar Forrester faces, Beyond the Gates brings a grieving daughter face to face with her father’s ghost, Days of Our Lives finally gets a beloved matriarch back on canvas, General Hospital sets the stage for a leading man’s shocking goodbye, and Young and the Restless welcomes back a certified villainess while dropping a name that has Genoa City buzzing.
Bold and the Beautiful Comings & Goings Welcome a Mother, a Muse, and a Mystery Man on the Set
Kelly Sullivan steps into L.A. as Darcy Dylan on Wednesday, September 2, arriving right as her daughter, Sydney Bullock‘s Melissa Dylan, is caught in the middle of the escalating Forrester-Spencer feud. She shares her first scenes with Melissa and Sean Kanan‘s Deacon Sharpe, then airs again Thursday, September 3, and Friday, September 4.
Naomi Matsuda is back as Dr. Li Finnegan, Tanner Novlan‘s Finn‘s mother, and she’s not walking into a quiet week; Li starts things off consumed by guilt over Sheila’s latest scheme, airing Monday, August 31, and Tuesday, September 1.
Forrester Creations’ runway gets a familiar face back on Wednesday, September 2, and Thursday, September 3, when Shannon McMullen returns as house model Willow. The staff roster fills back out too: stylist Lonnie (Lonnie Henderson) clocks back in Thursday, September 3, employee Tina (Nicole Bruner) is on the clock Tuesday, September 1, and new face Sadie Jeanne joins the payroll as an intern starting Thursday, September 3.
There’s also a mystery guest making the rounds: Lessons in Chemistry actor Kaido Lee Roberts turned up in a social media clip wandering the Forrester Creations offices, no credited role attached. See the clip here. He played it off as a casual visit, but the eyebrow-raising emoji in his own caption suggests there’s more to the story than a tour.

Beyond the Gates Comings & Goings Bring Fairmont Crest’s Ghosts Roaring Back
Angela Fairley returns as Deanna McBride, and grief has her rattled enough that a friend reportedly catches her mid-conversation with someone who isn’t there. That someone is her late father: Jason Graham reprises Doug McBride, manifesting to the daughter he left behind right as she and her mother start digging into something buried since before he died.
Jordi Vilasuso logs more airtime as Grayson Perez, whose nerves have a name this week: word is he’s landed on The Impaler’s radar as a potential next target.
Bonita Brisker and Maria Howell both resurface as Sharon Winger and Tracy Tyler, easing back into the mix around Fairmont Crest’s Jazz Fest plans.
Days of Our Lives Comings & Goings Welcome Home a Salem Legend
Suzanne Rogers steps back into Salem as Maggie Horton Kiriakis on Monday, August 31, capping an absence that had fans checking in.
Salem gets a new face Tuesday, September 1, when Brandon Butler debuts as Mason Whitfield.
Days of Our Lives has also landed a proven soap vet for a still-under-wraps role: Brytni Sarpy, who spent 2015 to 2019 as Valerie Spencer on General Hospital and 2019 to 2024 as Dr. Elena Dawson on The Young and the Restless, joins the cast with her character kept under wraps for now.
Victoria Kiriakis is back in the picture Wednesday, September 2, with Angelica Nero stepping in for scenes at home.
Charlotte DiMera gets more time on screen Thursday, September 3, when Pippa Blaylock takes part in Salem’s daddy-daughter dance storyline.
Rachel Black turns up again Thursday, September 3, with Lorelei Olivia Mote back in the role for a storyline built around a gift from home.
Maggie Carney‘s Rita is back at her desk Friday, September 4, though EJ’s assistant has her own ideas about which orders are worth following.
General Hospitalย Comings & Goings Set the Stage for a Shocking Goodbye
Pentonville has a new face running the show: Geoffrey Rivas takes on warden Alvarez in a recurring role, a part about to see a lot more screen time now that Port Charles has sent two more regulars behind those walls.
Jack Brennan‘s days may be numbered. Chris L. McKenna‘s leading man already has a growing list of enemies, and the countdown sped up considerably on Friday, August 28, when Ava slipped a crushed pill into his drink without his knowledge. With a fall exit reportedly on the table, this doesn’t look like a storyline GH plans to walk back.
Young and the Restless Comings & Goings Bring Back a Villainess and Drop a Big Name
Stacy Haiduk‘s Patty Williams gets a visitor behind bars Tuesday, September 1, a reunion that tracks with the “next on” tease already flagging the meeting.
Genoa City also got a jolt from a name nobody expected to hear out loud: Amber Moore came up in Friday’s episode, and fans immediately started wondering if that’s a setup for Adrienne Frantz to reclaim the role.

Which Comeback Owns The Week?
From a real ghost story haunting Fairmont Crest to a leading man getting drugged mid-drink in Port Charles, this week’s Comings and Goings hit differently. Darcy Dylan’s arrival alone could reshape the Forrester dynamic, given who she’s related to. Salem finally gets Maggie Horton back on canvas after an absence that had fans genuinely worried, and if that Amber Moore name-drop pans out, Genoa City might be bracing for its most dangerous reunion yet.
