DAYS OF OUR LIVES SPOILERS: EJ DIMERA CANNOT PUT OUT EVERY FIRE THIS FALL

TL;DR: The Days of Our Lives spoilers fall 2026 preview from the head writers puts EJ DiMera at the center of every fire in Salem. Kristen comes home with company, the Kiriakis clan rebuilds from scratch, and Alex has a surprise for Joy.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Fall 2026: EJ Needs Bigger Hands

The Days of Our Lives spoilers fall 2026 preview is out, and the head writers hung nearly every fire in Salem on EJ DiMera. Their words: EJ is going to need bigger hands, because every time he puts one out, another starts. This man called the Titan loan, buried his sister, and kissed a woman who is lying to him, all inside a few weeks.

Start with Cat Greene. Feelings grow between Cat and EJ, the preview says, and so do the secrets each keeps from the other. Cat has an ISA past. EJ has a Coriseal cover-up that Holly, Xander, Ari and Kate all believe in but cannot prove. The fall payoff is not whether a secret comes out, it is whose comes out first.

Lexie Carver died on August 21 with one request for EJ: end the war with Kristen. Theo Carver has now lost his mother twice, and the preview says he is unable and unwilling to do business the way EJ and Johnny DiMera do.

Chanel DiMera resumes cancer treatment now that baby Olivia is safely home, and Johnny’s lies and ties to EJ threaten their happiness. She already asked whose side he is on. Don’t be surprised if the honest answer costs him the nursery.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Fall 2026: The Kiriakis Family Rebuilds From Scratch

The Kiriakises take a page from the DiMera playbook and rise from the ashes, rebuilding from scratch if they have to. On screen that means Xander Kiriakis boxing up Victor’s portrait while an unnamed cash buyer waits on the mansion, and Maggie Kiriakis coming home to say goodbye to the house. Unorthodox is Salem for a poker table.

Philip Kiriakis and Gabi Hernandez draw closer as he tries to save the company and the home. He proposed with Maggie’s ring on August 31 as cover for Monte Carlo, and Gabi is bankrolling the buy-in, as laid out in our two-week spoiler rundown. If they draw closer, the cover story stops being a cover story around the river card.

Then there is Sarah Horton. She faces attacks personally and professionally, and Xander and Brady Black work together to protect her. Her new love for Brady gets challenged by her lingering love for Xander, and Xander risks everything for her. She told Xander on September 3 she still loves him, and he turned down one last night together. Everything, for a man who just lost his house, means one thing left to lose.

Does Kristen DiMera Come Back To Days Of Our Lives This Fall?

Yes. The preview says we will see Kristen DiMera again, and she does not come back alone. Kristen has been off the board since she slipped EJ’s crate on August 3. The only sign of life since was the bracelet she sent Rachel Black on September 3.

Here is the connection nobody else is making. Lexie’s dying wish was for EJ to end the war with Kristen. The same preview promises that world travels lead to characters coming home. And today’s episode ended with a stranger beside Stefano’s photo, moving a chess pawn while he watched EJ, Chad DiMera and Belle Black board a plane to Italy. If I know these writers, the person Kristen brings back and the person watching that plane are not two separate stories.

Days of Our Lives Spoilers Fall 2026: Alex Has A Surprise For Joy

Joy Wesley ups her game even as Stephanie Johnson grows suspicious of her. Alex Kiriakis is torn between his wife and being there for his daughter, and just as Joy seems about to get what she wants, Alex has a surprise for her. Philip already called Joy out on September 2 for working to split Alex and Stephanie. My gut says the surprise is not a ring.

Abe Carver and Paulina Price get the saddest line in the preview. The love is still there, but so is the hurt, and even though Paulina stepped away on her own, she cannot shake that Abe chose Lexie over her. Abe is grieving a woman he was never supposed to get back. Paulina is grieving something that is not dead yet.

Add the familiar faces. World travels lead to characters coming home, and today’s airport scene is the writers pointing at the door. Compare notes with the rest of daytime’s fall slate and DOOL is the only soap sending its patriarch to the airport with a target on his back.

Which fire burns EJ first: Cat, Coriseal, Johnny, or Kristen? Drop your pick in the comments and defend it.

EJ DiMera Cannot Win A War On Nine Fronts

EJ’s fall comes down to one question he keeps dodging: which fire does he let burn? He cannot hold Titan, the Coriseal lid, Cat, Johnny’s marriage and a sister with company all at once. My money says he lets the Kiriakises go, because that fight is pride and the Kristen fight is survival.

Pick a side. Either EJ deserves every fire he is standing in, or Salem is about to punish the one DiMera trying to hold the family together. Argue it out on our Facebook page.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who does Kristen DiMera bring back to Salem with her?

The writers have not said. The fall preview only promises Kristen returns and does not come back alone. She has been missing since she slipped EJ’s crate on August 3, and her only contact since was a bracelet sent to Rachel on September 3. Any name attached to her companion right now is guesswork.

What is Alex Kiriakis’s surprise for Joy Wesley?

Nothing has streamed yet. The preview says Joy ups her game while Stephanie grows suspicious, and that just as Joy seems about to get what she wants, Alex has a surprise for her. Philip already confronted Joy on September 2 about splitting Alex and Stephanie, so the surprise is unlikely to be good news for Joy.
