DAYS BRINGS A DIMERA DAUGHTER HOME AND LOCKS IN TWO MORE SALEM NAMES
TL;DR: This week’s DAYS Comings and Goings bring Sami and EJ’s daughter back to Salem in a newly cast role, plus a future arrival with a loaded last name and a contract confirmation for Salem’s newest college student.
Days of Our Lives Comings and Goings Bring Sami’s Daughter Back to Salem
Sami and EJ’s only daughter is coming home. Sydney Malakeh has been cast as Sydney DiMera, daughter of Sami and EJ, debuting Wednesday, September 9. Sydney was last seen as a pre-teen in a 2021 holiday special, so this is the character’s return to the canvas with Malakeh stepping into the role for the first time.

Two More Salem Names Lock In Behind Her
Salem is also adding a face with ties to Sami’s world. Franco LoPresti joins as Dante Vitali, arriving Monday, September 14. This is a debut for both the actor and the character.
Also locked in: Brandon Butler, who debuted as Mason Whitfield on September 1, has been confirmed on contract. That status upgrade tracks with how heavily Mason’s introduction has already been built into Holly Jonas‘s storyline.

Salem’s Bench Got Deeper
A DiMera daughter, a new Vitali on the way, and a contract player barely a week into his run: Salem is stacking names for a reason. Whichever thread pays off first, the show clearly isn’t done building out this fall.
