The Days of Our Lives recap September 24, 2026 belongs to Cat Greene. EJ DiMera walked into his office and found her packing it up, and he did nothing to warm up the room. Cat did not wait for him to start. She was furious that Chad DiMera had confronted her about her ISA past and that her story had been checked, and she accused EJ of going cold on her the moment she told him the truth.

EJ was not convinced she ever really left the ISA. He mused about how clever it would be for the agency to recruit an unassuming desk jockey to get close to him. Then he went further and wondered whether her time at the Italian clinic, where she read to him while he lay in a coma, was just part of the job.

Cat denied every word of it and turned the tables, reeling off the secrets he has been keeping himself. Then she ended it. “EJ, you’re not going to have to worry about whether or not I am lying to you, because I quit,” she told him. EJ managed a mocking “Oh, you’re quitting” as she walked out the door. Leo met Javi Hernandez in the square, where Javi was already in his work uniform with a pumpkin spice latte waiting for him. It was awkward for a minute, then the old ease came back and Javi called Leo forever charming. The exes are taking it slow. Javi got called in to work, and he asked about dinner before he left.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Chad and Belle Picked the Salem Inn

Belle Black asked Chad to meet her at the pub. She is worried about Sami Brady now that she knows Dante Vitali roomed with Dominic Marino at boarding school. “I love her. I just don’t want to see her get hurt,” Belle said.

Chad got it. He even admitted he understood EJ’s shock about Cat’s ISA past. He talked about how much he still misses Abigail. Then he booked them a room at the Salem Inn, and the afternoon was theirs.
