This Week in Salem

These DAYS Weekly Spoilers catch the town at its most talkative, with guilty consciences cracking open and one very public accusation landing in front of an audience. A young executive decides he’s finished covering for his father, a beloved doctor finds her career under a microscope, and a woman who has seen it all begs her friends to help her keep one more thing buried. Even the pub regulars can feel the pressure building.

Elsewhere, a winning streak starts looking less like luck and more like a warning, a podcast microphone becomes a pressure cooker, and a surprise celebration hands its guests a jolt nobody planned. By Friday, more than one secret is sitting awkwardly out in the open.

Monday, September 28th

Theo Carver unloads everything that’s been eating at him onto Paulina Price. Paulina is the one who walked in on him drifting a little too close to a married woman at Small Bar, and he has since resigned from DiMera, so there’s no shortage of worries to go around.

Joy Wesley hits a snag she didn’t anticipate. She has been dragging her feet on the nerve study her doctors want to run and has been quietly reading up on it, and she even asked her father to mail her some muscle relaxers, so whatever she’s planning, she has been working on it in private.

Xander Kiriakis promises Sarah Horton he’ll be in her corner. The grieving family’s lawsuit targets her by name, and forces inside DiMera are working to make her the fall guy, so she needs every ally she can get.

Marlena Evans begs Steve Johnson not to breathe a word. Steve has been digging into Stefano’s trail and even heard from Roman about the memories she has recovered from the island, so whatever he has stumbled onto clearly has her shaken.

Tuesday, September 29th

Cat Greene lets Rafe Hernandez in on a dicey scheme. She quit working for EJ after he made it plain he doesn’t believe she has truly left the ISA, so this plan comes with personal stakes.

Johnny DiMera makes up his mind to fix things. He already told his father he was sick of lying for him and intended to handle this the proper way, whatever it costs him.

Chanel Dupree comes to Gabi DiMera with an offer. Gabi has been handing out opportunities of her own lately, including a job pitch to Theo, so it’s intriguing to see her on the receiving end for once.

Xander squares off with EJ DiMera. Xander has made it his mission to see EJ pay for the crimes against his family, and with Sarah squarely in the crosshairs, he has no interest in keeping things civil.

Leo Stark and Philip Kiriakis put their heads together on a plan. That’s a partnership that should make everyone a little nervous, especially since Philip was last spotted alone on a bench fiddling with a casino chip.

Wednesday, September 30th

Tate Black runs into Mason Whitfield. Mason has openly blamed Holly for playing a part in Sophia’s death, so this encounter is loaded before either man opens his mouth.

Eli Grant pushes Lani Price to weigh where her life goes from here. Lani has admitted she misses being a cop, and her mother is already calling the governor about a pardon Lani insists she doesn’t want.

Leo hosts Lani and Holly Jonas on his podcast. He has been dreaming up his “Unsung Heroes of Salem” series for some time, and Lani only agreed once Paulina decided the spotlight was a fabulous idea.

Kate Roberts confronts Philip about his gambling. His Monte Carlo haul may have rescued Titan, but that doesn’t mean everyone is applauding how he got it.

Holly struggles with the guilt she has been carrying. Mason told her point-blank that he believes she played a big part in Sophia’s death, and those words aren’t easy to forget.

Thursday, October 1st

Melinda Trask points a very public finger at Sarah. The hospital has already launched an independent investigation into the patient death behind the lawsuit, so an accusation aired out in the open is the last thing Sarah needs.

Brady Black backs Marlena and vows to keep her secret safe. That puts him in a very small circle of people she has turned to with whatever she’s been carrying.

Steve shares a new theory with Belle Black. Belle has been chasing Stefano’s clues since Italy, and learning that a key figure’s boarding school roommate is now engaged to Sami only thickened the plot.

Philip is honest with Maggie Kiriakis. Maggie already threatened to walk away from Titan when she learned where the cash came from, and she only agreed to stay after he promised he wasn’t sliding back into old habits.

Joy takes a perilous chance. She has been skittish about tests and treatments ever since the paralysis set in, which makes a risky move from her all the more unsettling.

Friday, October 2nd

Chanel is blindsided by a baby shower she explicitly said she didn’t want, and her guests end up with a surprise of their own. Chanel told her mother there would be no party, but Paulina and her fellow planners clearly had other ideas.

Julie Williams lifts Marlena’s spirits. Julie has long reminded Marlena that she’s family no matter what, and she has urged her not to let a dead man hold power over her.

Sydney DiMera makes a misstep she never saw coming. She has been juggling a lot since landing back in Salem, from her mother’s fiancé’s surprising connections to her brother’s warning that she shouldn’t stick around.

Johnny admits the truth to Rafe. Johnny confided to his sister that everything he has built could implode, and coming clean to a man who has been itching to take EJ down is one way to light the fuse.

EJ confides in Rita. Rita recently assured Stefano’s portrait that his scheme is unfolding perfectly, so EJ baring his soul to her comes with a delicious dose of dramatic irony.
