Bold and the Beautiful Recap September 28: Katie Logan Spencer Blindsides Melissa Dylan With a Zende Test

KATIE LOGAN SPENCER CALLS DYLAN A SPY, THEN SENDS HER TO FETCH ZENDE

TL;DR: Will told Katie that Dylan is staying, Katie warned she could be a Forrester spy, then ordered Dylan to bring Zende to Logan to prove her loyalty. At Forrester, Zende blamed Ridge for Hope leaving.

Katie Called Dylan a Spy, Then Gave Her a Job

The Bold and the Beautiful recap September 28 belongs to Katie Logan Spencer, who opened Monday insulting Melissa “Miss” Dylan and closed it recruiting her. When Will Spencer announced he was giving Dylan a tour of Logan, Katie warned that his girlfriend could be a spy for Forrester. Then, once Will was out of the room, she asked that same girl to go to Forrester and bring Zende back.

Yes, really. Katie wants Zende at Logan, Dylan is her messenger, and the girlfriend Katie tried to ban on Friday is suddenly her best shot at getting him. Our B&B spoilers for the next two weeks had it circled.

Will did not back down. Dylan is his girlfriend, he told his mother, not someone he is messing around with, and Katie needs to accept that and give her a chance. If his mother wants him happy, Dylan makes him happy, and she is not going anywhere.

Hope Is Missing Zende, and Katie Has a Messenger

Elsewhere at Logan, Hope Logan Spencer and Deke Sharpe were tweaking their newest design when Hope decided it needed a billowy sleeve, a touch of her old Hope for the Future line. Hope told him he is doing a great job, but she is missing someone. Alone, she stared at a phone full of unanswered texts to Zende.

Katie Logan Spencer walked in with a fix. Her niece admitted the line needs Zende, and Katie pointed out that Dylan works at Forrester, happens to be at Logan today, and has been trying to prove herself. She called it the perfect test: Dylan can be their messenger.

Zende Blamed Ridge, Not Katie

At Forrester Creations, Ridge Forrester tried to calm Zende Forrester Dominguez with a chance to make his mark on the Electra line. Zende was having none of it. He fumed that newcomers RJ Forrester and Electra Forrester were handed a line while he takes orders from them. RJ’s apology did not thaw a thing.

Ridge sent his son out, and Zende let him have it: Hope leaving is not Katie’s fault, it is Ridge’s. “You killed the line that I love!” Ridge, true to form, turned it around and said this was not about Hope, it was about Zende.

Later, Zende admitted Hope has reached out and he has not answered. Ridge told him to focus on himself and the Electra line, where he promised him an amazing career.

Is Melissa Dylan a Forrester Spy on Bold and the Beautiful?

No, and she said so herself. When Katie raised it, Dylan promised she is not a spy and does not want to cause problems between Will and his mother. Our Sunday preview of Katie seizing on Dylan to poach Zende saw this coming.

Here is the part nobody else is pointing out. Katie did not just accuse Dylan of spying for Forrester. Within the same half hour she asked Dylan to work Forrester for Logan, which makes Katie the one turning her into a spy. My gut says the spy line was Katie checking how hard Will would fight for Dylan before she put her to work.

Katie Logan Spencer Wants Zende Right Here at Logan

Back in the showroom, Will told Dylan that his half-brother Wyatt Spencer calls her sweet and sour sexy sauce. She thanked him for standing up to his mom, which she admitted was kind of hot. Later he coaxed her onto the runway in one of Deke’s leather jackets and said she should work at Logan. Dylan only wished she could win his mother over.

Then Will left for a meeting, and Katie stepped out from around the corner. She told Dylan there was one thing she could do to prove her loyalty to Katie and to Will, a first step toward acceptance: get Zende to Logan, since he will not return Hope’s messages.

Dylan gawped, “You want me to help you steal another Forrester?!” Katie snapped that she has never stolen anything or anyone and warned the “little girl” to watch what she says. “Hope and I just want to talk to him, that’s all.” Then came the line that ended the episode: “I want Zende Forrester right here at Logan.”

Here is my prediction. Dylan says yes, because she wants Katie’s blessing more than she wants to be right about Katie. If I know these writers, Katie Logan Spencer just handed Ridge a reason to fire Dylan and Zende an exit. Of Katie’s three dirty tricks against Forrester, this is the first one on the board.

Katie Made Dylan the Spy She Was Afraid Of

Katie walked into Monday calling Dylan a Forrester spy and walked out asking her to work Forrester for Logan. She wants the girl gone and needs her useful, and she cannot have both for long.
