She worked inside his law firm, close enough to see exactly which problems got fixed and how.

That is not a small detail. Hayley Lawson, currently out on bail courtesy of Leslie Thomas covering her release, does not read like a woman preparing to fold quietly. She reads like someone weighing her options, and one of those options is making sure she does not go down alone.

The Party Is Earned, the Risk Is Real

Dani Dupree’s investigation gave everyone the proof they needed, and Bill’s family finally got confirmation of what they suspected all along. That victory is real, and nobody should have to pretend otherwise simply because the situation is not fully resolved yet.

At the same time, Bill Hamilton has to know that Hayley Lawson walking free, resentful, and completely out of reasons to protect him is a genuinely dangerous combination.
