Chelsea Says the Results Are Back, Then the Frame Hits the Floor

It is confirmed: the new Beyond the Gates promo for the week of November 9 ends with Bill Hamilton (Timon Kyle Durrett) smashing his wedding photo with Hayley Lawson (Marquita Goings). He stares at the picture of the two of them, then sends it crashing to the ground.

The scene right before it lights the fuse. Chelsea Hamilton (RhonniRose Mantilla) is upset when her mother, Dani Dupree (Karla Mosley), asks what happened. Chelsea tells her the paternity test results are back. Cut to Bill, and the glass goes. The promo does not show the answer, and nobody in it says what the test found.

The same promo opens with Martin Richardson (Brandon Claybon) and Smitty Smith (Mike Manning) talking over Smitty’s case, and it catches Heather Armstrong (Ashley Jones) snapping at Vanessa McBride (Lauren Buglioli) at Uptown.

Bill Has Broken a Picture of Hayley Before

On October 1, back at his office after the hospital, Bill smashed a photo of himself and Hayley into pieces. Her blackmail had just forced him to let her walk away from the charges for poisoning him.

That first smash came three weeks before Hayley’s positive pregnancy test on October 23. It had nothing to do with any baby. It was about the woman who dosed him for months and still got her deal.

So a second smash tells us Bill Hamilton is still at war with Hayley, whatever the paper says. If the test says the baby is his, he is tied to her for good. If it says he is not, the woman who faked a pregnancy in 2025 played him one more time.

Friday Left the Results Unread

When the November 6 episode ended, Bill Hamilton was in his office about to read the results, and what they say has not aired. Earlier, his assistant Caroline Lee (Ellie Wang) had caught him sleeping on the office couch.

That same day, his daughter Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne (Arielle Prepetit) carried papers terminating his parental rights to Hayley’s hotel room. Hayley fired back, “If he thinks he can stick me with this kid, he better think again!” Nobody on screen has signed anything.

The test goes back to November 2, when a doctor confirmed the pregnancy and Bill demanded a paternity test. Bill asked Shanice Johnson (Ernestine Johnson) to take the sample to the lab herself. Hayley’s cousin Randy Parker (Maurice P. Kerry) thinks the results will change Bill’s mind about being in this child’s life, and he warned Hayley that Joey Armstrong (Jon Lindstrom) knows her plans.

Is Bill the Father of Hayley’s Baby on Beyond the Gates?

Not on screen, not yet. No episode has revealed the result. The spoilers for the week of November 9 have Bill getting answers about what is ahead on Monday and confronting his troubled past. On Tuesday, his world is shattered and Chelsea tries to pick up the pieces. No preview names the day of the smash, but Tuesday fits it best.

Here is what most previews skip. Not one write-up of the promo says the result caused the smash; they only run one after the other. And remember Hayley’s own words to Randy on October 30: her play was letting Bill think, even hope, he is not the father. We already ran the math on this pregnancy, and it never quite added up. So the smash could be a yes he dreaded, or a no that proves Hayley lied to him again.

What Comes After the Broken Frame

The rest of the week keeps Bill busy. On Thursday, Chelsea and Kat Richardson (Colby Nixon) turn to him for help. On Friday, Bill tries to turn the tables, and Dani is having none of it.

Hayley hits a mysterious roadblock between herself and freedom on Tuesday. On Thursday she isn’t buying what Leslie Thomas (Trisha Mann-Grant) is selling, and on Friday she tries to push the buttons of Andre Richardson (Sean Freeman). Over on the soap message boards, most fans already assume Bill is the father and are arguing over who will end up raising it.

My gut tells me Bill Hamilton did not break that frame over good news. A no would sting, but it would also set him free. A yes ties him to Hayley for years, and that is the kind of news that sends glass across a room. Don’t be surprised if those papers come back into play before Friday.

Bill Broke the Frame but Hayley Still Holds the Picture

Here is my take. A man who smashes the same woman’s picture twice in six weeks is not finished with her, and she knows it. Whatever that test says, Hayley has a hold on Bill that no envelope, screen or legal paper is going to break.
