AVA JEROME MAY BE FEEDING HER WITNESS TO SONNY

TL;DR: GH’s Ava Jerome may not be hiding Vito at all, she may be handing him to the one man guaranteed to turn a missing witness into a headline, and her next target could be standing right beside him. Follow every twist in the Port Charles spoilers as this one plays out.

A Smirk That Said Too Much

Ava Jerome seems to be hiding a witness the smart way, by making him somebody else’s problem. Drew Cain and Ava told Vito to vanish if he wanted the rest of his money, and Vito seemed to understand that talking would make him a dead man. Ava’s answer was a smirk and a one-liner: “Sonny will take care of that.”

That isn’t a warning, it’s a forecast. Sonny’s inner circle already believes Vito betrayed them, because he disappeared right after the Pentonville beating went sideways. Nobody in that house is treating him like a witness to protect. They’re treating him like a traitor to find.

Could that be the whole point? A Vito who turns up dead on Sonny’s side of town looks like a cover-up, and a cover-up looks like a confession. Sonny insists he never ordered the beating, yet video places his own men at the scene, and the louder he denies it, the guiltier he sounds.

Ava even looked disgusted by how gleeful Drew was that Curtis Ashford got caught in the crossfire, which tells you she knows exactly how fragile this setup is. Ava doesn’t let disgust slow her down, though. She gets tidier, not softer.

Her Frame Jobs Come With A Pattern

Ava has a long record of making somebody else carry her crimes, and the receipts are in the file. She once pinned a murder she committed on an innocent man, squeezed a good friend into a false confession, and put Nina Reeves in the frame for a killing back in 2015. This time Nina is the one sitting in WSB custody, with Jack Brennan‘s wallet turning up in her car.

Ava has motive to spare. Sonny planned a school-day ballet trip for their daughter, Ava objected, and the two of them screamed at each other until he reminded her that he controls the custody agreement. Ava left more determined than ever to bring him down. Hours later she told Drew she would never trust him after the Nina frame, then promised to do whatever it takes to finish Sonny for good. Ava Jerome doesn’t improvise a frame, she builds one with a trapdoor already cut.

Everybody Already Believes The Worst

Ava couldn’t have scripted the fallout better. Dante Falconeri told his father he’s done being burned by half-truths. Curtis refuses to retract his statement. Justine Turner, who has been sneaking around with Sonny, demanded he look her in the eye and swear he had nothing to do with it.

Sonny admitted he sent Vito to the prison, which is exactly the thread Ava might want pulled. One more push, one more loose end silenced, and nobody in Port Charles will hear a denial again.

The Thursday Overlap Nobody Should Ignore

The spoilers for Thursday, October 8 list two items side by side: Carly Spencer supports Sonny, and Ava pitches a new target to Drew. Same day, same orbit, and not much room between them.

Carly is the easiest fall guy in town. She spent months scheming against Brennan with Valentin Cassadine, and the two of them are now holding evidence against Drew. Ava already floated Carly’s name to Willow Tait, sitting across from her and suggesting Carly had done something to Brennan. Could Ava Jerome be shopping Carly as the next face on the wall?

Frame Carly and Ava buries the woman holding Drew’s evidence and the woman holding Sonny’s hand in one move. Two birds, one smirk.

Is Ava the smartest villain in Port Charles or the most reckless? Drop your take in the comments below, we’re dying to hear it!

Smirk Now, Panic Later

Ava Jerome plays the long game while everyone else argues about the short one. Will Sonny find Vito before the police do? And if Carly stands by him, does that put her squarely in Ava’s crosshairs?
