CARLY SPENCER IS BACK IN SONNY’S CORNER, BUT THE ONLY WITNESS IS A TEENAGE GIRL

TL;DR: Carly Spencer stands by Sonny on Thursday, October 8, and Jason is already hunting for Vito. But the one person who can prove Ava and Drew framed Sonny is Scout, and telling would mean turning on her own father.

Carly and Jason Are Both in Sonny’s Corner Now

These General Hospital spoilers have Carly and Jason lining up behind a man the whole town has written off. On Thursday, October 8, Carly Spencer steps up to support Sonny Corinthos, and the previews say it feels like old times. A day earlier, she asks Anna for a favor. Nobody is saying what that favor is.

Jason Morgan got there first. He came running when Sonny called on September 30, swore he had nothing to do with the Pentonville beating, and went looking for Vito, the man on the visiting room footage. Two of Sonny’s oldest allies are back in the fight. What they don’t have yet is proof.

Here’s what makes it delicious. We already know Sonny didn’t do it. Ava Jerome and Drew Cain paid Vito to set up the attack on Sidwell, and the frame played out on screen on September 30. Curtis landing in the hospital was never part of their plan, but it sure helped sell it.

Sonny Has Run Out of People Who Believe Him

Sonny needs every friend he can get. On October 1, Dante Falconeri refused to believe his father, and Sonny threw him out with “I don’t want a son like you.” Then Friday got worse. Josslyn Jacks told Trina she joined the WSB to stop Sonny, whatever it costs.

Read that again. Carly Spencer is picking Sonny’s side days after her own daughter declared war on him. Joss doesn’t know the truth, and neither does her mother. That’s a family dinner I wouldn’t sit through for a million dollars.

And the old wrecking crew isn’t what it used to be. Jason told Sonny on August 3, “I can’t kill for you again,” and walked away from the mob so Danny wouldn’t follow him. Whatever Jason does now has to be detective work, not muscle. That’s exactly why the right witness matters so much.

Who Framed Sonny on General Hospital?

Ava and Drew did, and only one person outside their plot saw any of it. On September 30, Scout Cain was standing right outside the house when Ava and Drew told Vito to collect what he was owed and leave Port Charles for good. Scout is Drew’s daughter. She hasn’t told a soul.

Here’s the part nobody is talking about. If Carly and Jason need Scout, they’re starting from behind. On October 1, Scout tore into her brother Danny Morgan for punching Rocco and told him, “You’re so reckless, just like your dad.” Then she told him to stay away from her. Jason is Danny’s father and Scout’s uncle, and right now his name is her insult.

Scout’s Secret Is More Likely to Reach Dante Than Carly Spencer

The person Scout trusts is Rocco Falconeri. On Friday they kissed, and Lulu smiled. Rocco is Dante’s son, which makes him Sonny’s grandson. Scout doesn’t need Carly or Jason to change this story. One confession to Rocco puts the truth in the hands of the cop who just got thrown out of Sonny’s house.

Jason has another road in, and it’s an ugly one. If he finds Vito, Scout never has to say a word, but that trail ends at his own twin brother. My gut tells me Jason gets close, and Carly Spencer ends up being the one who sees what Scout is carrying. Want more on what Scout and Danny are each holding? We’ve got it.

So what would the truth cost her? She’d be testifying against the father she keeps defending, watching the town call him a criminal and maybe losing him all over again. Meanwhile, on Thursday, Ava pitches Drew a brand new target, and on Friday Dante’s investigation hits a wall. Check our two weeks of spoilers for every twist coming.

Sonny’s Best Defense Is a Girl Who Loves the Man Who Framed Him

Carly has the fire, Jason has the instincts, and neither has the one thing that ends this. Scout does. If those two go to war for Sonny together, Ava and Drew are in serious trouble, but it would be a shame to watch a kid pay for her father’s sins.

We’re betting the truth comes out through Scout and Rocco first, with Carly and Jason close behind. Tell us whether you’d ask Scout to speak up over on our Facebook page.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Are Carly and Jason back together on General Hospital?

No. Carly and Jason are best friends, not a couple. Their 2021 marriage was nullified, and Carly is with Valentin Cassadine. Jason split from Britt Westbourne in mid-September after they fought over Anna. They are both in Sonny’s corner now, but nothing romantic is brewing between them on screen.

What did Scout overhear on General Hospital?

On September 30, Scout was right outside the house when Ava and Drew told Vito to collect what he was owed and leave Port Charles for good. Vito is the Sonny associate seen on Pentonville footage. Viewers know Ava and Drew set up the attack. Scout has not told anyone what she heard.

Is Jason Morgan still in the mob on General Hospital?

No. Jason told Sonny on August 3 that he was leaving the mob after 30 years so Danny would not follow in his footsteps. Sonny quit a few days later. Jason still answered Sonny’s call for help after the Pentonville attack and offered to track down Vito.
