The 50th-anniversary celebration of the popular daytime soap has had viewers on the edge of their seats, and the latest episode did not disappoint. After a physical altercation with her long-time rival Diane, Phyllis fell unconscious, leaving the party guests in shock. In the following episode on Monday, April 3rd, the drama continued as news of Phyllis’s condition emerged.

While it may seem that Phyllis is dead after being involved in an ambulance crash, viewers shouldn’t jump to conclusions just yet. Phyllis is a schemer and has been plotting against Diane, so it’s possible that her “death” is part of a bigger plan. Chance spoke to the EMT who survived the accident, and she confirmed that Phyllis was conscious at the time and trying to convey that she had been poisoned. However, the crash threw the EMT from the vehicle, which then exploded, leaving Phyllis and the driver trapped inside.

Although things aren’t looking good for Phyllis, it’s unlikely that this is the end for her. There haven’t been any reports that Michelle Stafford, the actress who plays Phyllis, is leaving the show. As previously reported, this storyline could shape up into a departure for James Hyde in the role of Jeremy Stark.

If Phyllis is indeed working an angle, it’s unlikely to end well for her with her family. Summer was devastated by the news of her mother’s death, and it’s going to be a long road back for Phyllis if she intentionally let her daughter believe she had lost her. However, it’s possible that this could all be part of her grand plan to get back at Diane, who has been a thorn in her side for years.

Viewers will have to wait and see how this storyline unfolds, but one thing is for sure: the drama on this soap opera is always intense and unpredictable. Whether Phyllis is truly dead or not, her plan to get revenge on Diane will undoubtedly lead to more twists and turns.
