EJ DiMera got his turn at the station on October 8. He called the allegations absurd, pointed at George, then realized the person who talked was his son. His answer for the record: he loves Johnny unconditionally, and Johnny misunderstood. He walked out with a warning to leave Johnny alone, since nobody had grounds to hold him. By Friday, Johnny was ignoring his calls and Steve Johnson was warning him that EJ will make him suffer.

Tuesday adds two more cracks: Marlena Evans questions Cat and Chad DiMera confronts EJ, about what the previews do not say. By Wednesday, the man who refused to trust Cat needs her more than she needs him.

The spoiler chatter has them kissing again this week, and after March, June and August that is a fair question, not a prediction anyone can date. The better question is who is working whom. Rafe’s warning to Cat is on the record, and Cat has said twice that she was counting on EJ wanting her back. Either one could be the mark, and the previews are not saying.
