General Hospital Spoilers: Monet Mitchell’s Trap for Curtis Ashford Could Destroy Jordan Ashford
General Hospital spoilers: Monet Mitchell signed Curtis Ashford, then said Jordan is her sister. Is the appeal a trap aimed at Jordan?
MONET MITCHELL SEALED THE DEAL WITH CURTIS ASHFORD BEFORE SHE ADMITTED JORDAN IS HER SISTER
TL;DR: Monet Mitchell got Curtis Ashford to hire her for his appeal, then told him Jordan is her sister, on the same day Jordan left for Germany. With Monet advising Curtis on Thursday, October 15, the question is whether she is freeing him or aiming him at Jordan.
Monet Mitchell Got the Handshake Before She Said the Word Sister
These General Hospital spoilers start with the order of operations. On October 8, Monet Mitchell walked into Curtis Ashford‘s hospital room, said she had reviewed his trial transcript and found errors in how the judge instructed the jury. She even told him that stepping in to save Jenz Sidwell at Pentonville would look good at a retrial. Curtis dropped Martin Grey and shook on it.
Then, and only then: “Jordan is my sister!” Earlier in that same episode, Jordan Ashford had told Curtis she was flying to Germany for facial reconstruction, and he insisted she go. Monet kept the family secret until Jordan was packing.
Before that, there was a phone call. Monet was across the table from client Harrison Chase, separation papers ready, when she stepped away to answer it. Nobody has said who was on the line. Chase left after Tracy Quartermaine texted him Lulu’s story, and Monet went to see Curtis later.

Jordan Got Mocked, Curtis Got a Business Card
Look at how Monet has treated each of them. On September 24, she greeted Jordan by calling her “big sis” and asking whether her scars from the car crash were “a new look,” then went after the scars again the next day. Jordan later told Michael her sister picked at her scars.
Curtis got charm instead. On September 29, Monet showed up at his bedside, said she was not Martin, and called his case one that never should have gone to trial. Elizabeth Webber shooed her out, and Monet left her card. She never mentioned Jordan once.
On Friday, the rest came out. Monet and Jordan are half-sisters with the same mother, never close, and Curtis said Jordan never wanted to talk about her family. Monet added that she and Jordan had run into each other recently and Jordan never told him: “Gosh, it would be a shame if Jordan were keeping secrets from you.” Then came the line: “Jordan has no idea what I’m capable of.”
Stella Henry told Curtis she doesn’t trust her, and he kept her anyway.

Is Monet Using Curtis Against Jordan on General Hospital?
Nothing on screen has confirmed her motive, and Monet says she only wants to help a man the system treated unfairly. But the receipts lean one way. She hid the sister tie through her first pitch, saved it for after the handshake, and used her first real talk with Curtis to plant doubt about Jordan.
Here is what nobody else is pointing out. Monet doesn’t need to lose the appeal to hurt Jordan, because winning it is the weapon. On October 1, Willow Cain offered Curtis a pardon in exchange for help against Sonny. On October 8, the day Monet signed him, Lulu Spencer‘s exposé gutted Willow. Monet Mitchell is now the only way out Curtis has left.

Thursday’s Advice Could Put Curtis Under Portia’s Roof While Jordan Is in Germany
On Thursday, October 15, Monet advises Curtis. Spoiler chatter says her plan is house arrest at Portia Robinson‘s, with Curtis and Portia putting on a happy family show with baby Desmond for a judge. The same chatter has Jordan coming home to find it.
Jordan is not here to stop any of it. Michael Corinthos, who arranged the trip, went with her, and on Wednesday he reflects on his past. If I know these writers, every step Monet Mitchell takes toward freeing Curtis moves him one step further from Jordan.
Don’t be surprised if Curtis asks Jordan about her sister the second she lands, which may be exactly what Monet wants. We first asked what Monet wanted with Curtis the day the reveal aired. Follow it on our two weeks of General Hospital spoilers and the October 12 to 16 preview.

Monet Doesn’t Need to Lose the Appeal to Win Against Jordan
Our money says Monet is playing two cases at once, and only one of them has Curtis’s name on it. A woman who mocks her sister’s scars and then sells herself to her sister’s man as a lawyer first is not being subtle.
Team Monet says Curtis finally has a lawyer who found real errors. Team Jordan says he just hired her worst enemy. Pick a side on our Facebook page.
