A PARDON FOR DIRT ON SONNY! GH’s Willow Tait Strikes A Dangerous Deal With Curtis Ashford!
Willow Tait strikes a dangerous deal on General Hospital, a pardon for dirt on Sonny, but one wrong move could put her in his crosshair
WILLOW TAIT WANTS SONNY AND MICHAEL BOTH
TL;DR: GH’s Willow Tait and Curtis Ashford have struck a dangerous deal, a pardon for dirt on Sonny Corinthos, but she had better hope the governor says yes and the mob king never finds out.

Willow Walked Out With A Dangerous Deal
Willow Tait went into Curtis Ashford‘s hospital room as a congresswoman offering help and came out holding the kind of offer a woman with a grudge dreams about. Curtis saw right through her: she wanted dirt to use in her war against Michael Corinthos, so he put a price on it. Get the governor to pardon his sentence, and he’ll hand over Sonny Corinthos. Willow didn’t say no, and everything she did next suggests she said yes.
She spent the rest of the day acting like a woman with a plan. She played the congresswoman card on a prison guard so Curtis’s daughter could get in to see him. Then she leaned on Tristan Roberts, who wanted to send Curtis back to Pentonville, until he agreed to keep him under observation as a personal favor. Tristan smirked that it never hurts to have a congresswoman in his debt. Willow is already working overtime to keep her new source in a hospital bed instead of a prison cell.

A Pardon Is Not Hers To Hand Out
Willow has plenty of leverage over a guard and a doctor, and none over a governor. A pardon is his call, and Curtis isn’t giving her a syllable of dirt until it’s signed. Tristan agreed to hold off on discharging him, but he can’t keep Curtis forever, and the clock is ticking before Curtis goes back to Pentonville.
So what happens if Willow can’t pull those strings? Curtis has nothing to gain from keeping his word, and a man with a prison transfer on the calendar has every reason to shop his story to someone else. Willow Tait can win arguments with a guard, but she can’t make a governor say yes.
The Mob King Always Finds Out
Sonny has already shown how he treats anyone who crosses him. He sent word through Ric Lansing that Curtis should take back his statement, and he threw his own son Dante Falconeri out of his house for refusing to take him at his word. “I don’t want a son like you!” Sonny shouted.
Now picture how that temper lands on the congresswoman who bargained for his downfall with the man who testified against him. Willow is handing Curtis every reason to keep talking, which is the opposite of what Sonny wants. The moment Sonny hears about this arrangement, Willow becomes a target, and Michael’s father plays by different rules than Michael does.

The Dirt On Sonny May Be Dirt Drew Planted
Here’s the part Willow doesn’t know. Sonny insists he never ordered the attack, and viewers watched Drew Cain and Ava Jerome admit they arranged the beating to make Sonny look guilty. Curtis can only swear to what the attackers said, not who paid them. Justine Turner has already pointed out that this isn’t the first time Curtis has lied about evidence.
If Willow trades a pardon for a story that was built to frame Sonny, she is the one holding the bag. Sonny may be a lot of things, but a man who is genuinely set up and then blamed is going to fight back harder than ever.
Is Willow Tough Enough To Take On Sonny?
Willow is tougher than she looks, and Drew knows it, because he knows she is the one who shot him. She is also fighting Michael, watching Drew circle and now preparing to take on one of the most dangerous men in Port Charles. Willow Tait has nerve, a title and a long list of people who owe her a favor, but Sonny has decades of practice at making problems disappear.
Is Willow tough enough to take on a powerhouse like Sonny? Drop it in the comments below, we’re dying to talk about this!

Willow Is Playing With Fire
Willow Tait has bet on a convicted man’s word, a governor’s signature and a mob king who never finds out. Any one of them could fail, and all three have to go her way.
