Beyond the Gates Spoilers: Leslie Thomas Gets Devastating News as Ted, Shanice Plan a Christmas Wedding

Friday’s Hard News Lands One Week After Ted’s Ring

The Beyond the Gates spoilers for Friday, October 16 put Leslie Thomas on the receiving end of some hard news. The same episode has Eva Thomas snapping and Kat Richardson clapping right back. No preview names the news. The calendar does.

On October 9, Dr. Ted Richardson proposed to Shanice Johnson in a New York hotel room overlooking Central Park, and Shanice said yes to Ted. By October 12 she had asked Ashley Morgan to be her maid of honor, Ted had tapped Andre Richardson as best man, and the talk had turned to a Christmas wedding. Then there is the week’s promo, where Kat tells Eva, “Now Leslie knows it’s game over for good.” Put those side by side and Friday’s hard news looks a lot like a diamond.

Leslie even got a head start. On October 8 she overheard Ashley gushing about Ted’s surprise trip, and Ashley all but begged her not to ruin it. Ted and Leslie are former affair partners and Eva’s parents, and Ted still calls her Dana. She has never let him be happy in peace.

The Sabotage File, From Sherry to the Brothers

It started on March 10, 2025. Posing as a patient named Sherry, Leslie staged a rooftop jump threat at the hospital and asked for the psychiatrist, Dr. Nicole Dupree Richardson, who talked her down. On May 1 and 2, 2025, she crashed Ted and Nicole’s anniversary party and announced the affair and that Eva is Ted’s daughter. DNA backed her up that month.

Then she went after the marriage itself. On September 16, 2025, after a drunken night with Ted, she floated “round 2” and handed Nicole his tie at the country club. On October 17, 2025, just as Nicole was about to fall into Ted’s arms, Leslie pulled the hotel fire alarm. Three days later the marriage was officially over.

Shanice got the same treatment. Leslie planted her panties in Ted’s hotel room on January 28, 2026, threw herself into his arms at a hospital press conference on May 27, and on September 8 staged a cozy moment for Shanice’s brothers, who called Ted a deadbeat. On September 15 Ted stormed into Orphey Gene’s and threatened her with a harassment charge.

Look at the pattern. Leslie Thomas rarely goes at Ted head on. She works through an audience: a wife walking in, a room full of reporters, two protective brothers. Every 2026 move flopped. Ted proposed anyway.

Will Leslie Thomas Try to Sabotage Ted and Shanice’s Christmas Wedding?

Nothing posted so far says she will, and no previews past Friday are out yet. My gut says Leslie Thomas tries. Leslie has answered every turn in Ted’s love life within days, from the party to the fire alarm. The ring is the first milestone she has not touched on screen, and the only hint of her reaction comes from Kat, gloating to Eva.

The real question is who she uses, and my money is on Eva. She is the only one of Leslie’s options in a Friday scene. She is Ted’s daughter, she works beside him, and on October 7 Leslie admitted she spent Eva’s childhood turning her against Kat. Eva has covered for her mother before. The catch is that Eva pushes back, and she had no idea what Leslie was doing with Hayley.

Marcel Is the Muscle, and Hayley Is the Long Shot

Marcel Malone already went to bat for Leslie once. On September 15 he threatened to put Ted in the back of his cruiser, and a badge is one answer to a harassment threat. But Shanice got in his head that same day, asking how he felt knowing his girlfriend always thinks of someone else, and he admitted she had “some mighty fine points.” Marcel also carries secrets Leslie has never seen, starting with what he put Hayley Lawson through on October 7.

Hayley is the weakest card in the deck. Leslie posted her bail on September 25 and called it an investment, and on October 14 she dropped by Hayley’s hotel room gloating over Smitty’s arrest video. Hayley showed her the door. Whatever Hayley is holding points at Bill Hamilton and the Duprees, not at a wedding.

If I know these writers, Leslie Thomas will not settle for crying into her wine. Nobody has said who tells her, and my bet is Kat, because nobody enjoys Leslie’s misery more.
