Beyond the Gates Spoilers October 16: Andre Richardson Erupts in Front of Dani as Heather’s Secret Looms

Andre Snaps on Friday, and Nobody Has Said Why

The Beyond the Gates spoilers October 16 lineup carries one line that has fans talking: Andre Richardson loses his cool in front of Dani Dupree. The preview gives no reason and never mentions London or Heather Armstrong.

Here is what has actually aired. In London, Andre had a fling with a woman who called herself Heather Wallach, and he caught something on video he was never supposed to see. That woman is The Impaler, she owns Uptown, and she came back to town on October 9. Dani has no idea any of it happened.

Showrunner Michele Val Jean saw this coming. In her fall preview warning about Dani’s marriage, she said “Andre’s secrets will catch up to him in the worst way possible as Heather closes in to make good on her threats.” Note the plural. She was talking about the season, not Friday, and Andre has another sore spot: Bill Hamilton wants more from Dani on Thursday.

What Andre Caught in London Is Heather’s Problem

On August 17, Andre remembered the warning he got overseas: Heather would kill him, then go after the people he loves. He was told to get rid of what he had and run. He ghosted her, and he kept the evidence.

On September 23 he handed that video to her brother, Joey Armstrong, who kept the phone. When Joey watched it on September 29, it sounded as if Heather either slit someone’s throat or ordered it done. On October 2 Joey swore he had shown it to nobody. Nothing on screen says Heather knows it exists.

That is the twist everyone keeps missing. The man who looks cornered, Andre Richardson, is the one holding the evidence. Heather’s leverage is Dani: on August 21 she agreed to leave Dani alone only if Andre gave her what she wanted, and she called it a limited-time offer. Then came the text: “tick tock.”

Joey’s admission to Vanessa on Thursday has no stated subject, so do not assume it is the video. On Friday, the day Andre snaps, Heather moves in on Joey. Vanessa McBride still does not know Heather was behind her carjacking.

What Is Andre Richardson Hiding From Dani on Beyond the Gates?

More than one thing. My ranking starts with what he saw in London, the video Joey now holds. Second is the part that would wound Dani most: Heather kissed him on August 17, and on August 31 he kissed her back before racing out of the room. Third, and weakest: he was deeper into Heather’s world than he admits. On August 26 he started telling Dani about things from Europe he was not proud of, until Heather’s text cut him off.

Here is the line nobody else is drawing. On October 12, Hayley Lawson told Bill he would never win Dani back because Andre Richardson has never cheated. Hayley has no idea about those kisses. On October 8, after Andre told Dani there has been more to her and Bill “ever since that tornado,” the two agreed some things are better kept under wraps. Dani has her own June 11 elevator secret, and neither of them has confessed.

Who Tells Dani, and What It Costs Ted’s Christmas Wedding

My money is on Andre telling her himself. He nearly did on August 26, and on August 31 his uncle, Dr. Ted Richardson, urged him to be honest with her. Heather is the second pick, because Dani is her lever and still defends her: on October 2 Dani told Andre that Heather was not getting a fair shake. Joey is the long shot: he holds the video and owes Andre for saving Vanessa.

Whoever talks, the bill lands on the wedding party. Ted proposed to Shanice Johnson in New York on October 9, and they are talking about a Christmas wedding. On October 12 Ted made Andre Richardson his best man, and Shanice picked Ashley Morgan as her maid of honor.

Ashley is the one who called Dani to Uptown on August 17 while Andre drank heavily after seeing Heather again, and some fans already want sparks between the best man and the maid of honor. If Dani learns about the kisses, the best man walks in under a cloud. If she learns about the video, the wedding becomes a target for the woman who had Joey’s girlfriend carjacked.

Andre has spent two months acting like a hostage while sitting on proof. The phone in Joey’s hands may be the most dangerous thing in Fairmont Crest, and Heather does not appear to know about it. What she holds is simpler and meaner: two kisses Dani never heard about.
