The Young and the Restless
A Shoulder To Cry On! Will Y&R’s Billy Abbott Wind Up In Victoria Newman’s London Bed?
Billy Abbott is in London for Jill, Victoria Newman is there for Kyle, and one tearful night could make a giant mess for everyone.
BILLY ABBOTT AND VICTORIA COULD MAKE ONE GIANT MESS
TL;DR: With Jill in danger and Sally home alone with a newborn, Y&R’s Billy Abbott could end up crying on Victoria Newman’s shoulder, and then in her bed, while she is in London for Kyle Abbott. A one night stand would be a mess, and a baby nobody can place would be worse.

Billy Abbott Is Packing The Wrong Kind Of Baggage
Billy Abbott flew to London to hold his mother’s hand, and he landed with the emotional stability of a soufflé in an earthquake. Jill Abbott had a heart attack, he has seen for himself how weak she looks, and he already knows what it costs to miss the chance at a goodbye. Add roughly eight and a half seconds of marriage, and you have a man with a cracked heart and nobody to hold him up. Sally Spectra sent him off with a packed bag and a pep talk, which means the one person who always steadies him is an ocean away.
Sally has no shoulder of her own right now either. She told Audra Charles that she cannot stop checking whether the baby is breathing, she cannot sleep, and she is terrified of failing after the loss she has already survived. She still refuses to step back from work, which is how a person ends up holding up the sky with both arms. Both halves of this brand-new marriage are running on fumes in different countries, and fumes make for terrible decisions.
Victoria Newman is in London on business, and the business has a second line item named Kyle Abbott. Billy knocked on her door, called her name through it, and walked away empty-handed while she watched him through the peephole. He knew where to look, since the two of them used to stay at that very place, and he came back later to catch her walking out. His announcement that the timing was perfect should have every Abbott in London clutching a rosary. Whether he wants a friend or something more, he is hunting for the one woman who knows him best.

One Shoulder, One Bed, Zero Good Decisions
Here is how this could go wrong, and it would go wrong gently. Billy, soaked in worry for his mother and guilt about his wife, collapses onto Victoria’s shoulder and cries like a man who has held it together since the wedding. She knows him better than anyone, since they once shared a marriage, a daughter, and a past that never fully moved out. Old, familiar feelings come knocking, louder than he did at her door, and a hug meant to last ten seconds lasts until sunrise.
Victoria is not a woman who loses her head, unless the head belongs to an Abbott. She flew over to sneak around with one of them, so landing in the wrong Abbott’s arms sounds ridiculous until you recall her track record. Her ex arriving in tears, with nobody else around who knows him, is how a very bad idea disguises itself as a very kind one.
The Morning After Needs A Bigger Bed

Count the casualties. Billy would wake up married to Sally, with a days-old daughter at home, in the bed of his ex-wife. Victoria would wake up beside the uncle of the man she came to London to see, while Kyle sits a short cab ride away wondering why his secret getaway has a plot twist. That would be a MESS.
London is also not a vault. Cane Ashby already has Billy at a pub table, and the preview has him greeting Kyle with a pointed question about what exactly he is doing in town. Victor Newman has already reminded his daughter that everyone might run into each other over there.

One Baby, Two Possible Fathers, Zero Peace
Now make it worse. Say Victoria ends up pregnant after that London week with no idea whether the father is Billy Abbott or Kyle, the two Abbott men in her life. One test would turn the family tree into a crime scene, and the paternity talk would need a whiteboard, a lawyer, and a very strong drink. Jack Abbott would have to face the fact that his brother and his son might both be in the running.
The lives on the line keep multiplying. Sally would learn that the shoulder her husband leaned on belonged to his ex. Kyle would lose his girl and his uncle in one phone call, and Victor would turn the whole thing into a boardroom. It would flatten several lives at once, and nobody would walk away clean.

London Has A Lot To Answer For
Billy Abbott went to London to be near his mother, and he could fly home carrying a secret heavy enough to sink a brand-new marriage. Is it comfort he wants when he keeps knocking on that door, or is it something else entirely?
