Beyond the Gates Recap September 25, 2026: Hayley Lawson Gives Her Mug Shot Her Best Angle

TL;DR: This Beyond the Gates Recap catches Hayley Lawson getting dumped by her husband, her lawyer and her supposed accomplice in one afternoon before Leslie Thomas swoops in with bail money, Bill Hamilton realizing he was the mark all along while Dani Dupree and their daughters rally around him, Kat Richardson storming off to confront Tomas Navarro over a case he’d already dropped, Joey Armstrong discovering his little sister has a scary new nickname, and Eva Thomas learning her mother has a very unusual definition of sisterhood.

Hayley Lawson’s Very Bad Day

When the handcuffs came out yesterday, Hayley Lawson apparently assumed the waterworks could fix everything, and this Beyond the Gates Recap proves the crocodile act was not enough. Given a few minutes alone with Bill Hamiltondown at the station, she turned on the tears, pinned the whole mess on Dani Dupree and insisted she’d been the one nursing him back to health. Bill cut the performance short. He knows she spent months slipping poison into his system, and all he wanted to hear was why.

Hayley’s answer was a greatest-hits album of grievances: Dani framed her, and the entire family had it out for her from day one. Meanwhile, Leslie Thomas was practically sitting in Hayley’s lap, soaking up every juicy word like it was her favorite podcast, grinning as Hayley rattled off the shady goings-on at Garland and arching a brow when Dani brought up that fake ultrasound. When Bill had heard enough, he put a protective hand on Dani’s back and walked her out while Hayley howled at him not to go. Then Tomas Navarro quit as her attorney and pointed her toward a public defender. Leslie’s whispered verdict on the whole spectacle could not have been more delighted.

Next came the fun part. Jacob Hawthorne denied her a phone call until booking was done, rolled her fingers through the ink and parked her in front of the camera. Hayley started her mug shot looking devastated and finished it with a wink, because if you’re going down for attempted murder, you might as well serve face. Once she finally got her calls, she kept dialing Randy Parker, who kept dodging her until Joey Armstrong ordered him to pick up. His response to her plea for bail money? He was busy, and she’d have to hold tight. Loyalty is dead.

Enter Leslie, who cheerfully offered to cover the bill and then instructed a stunned Hayley to thank her properly. They’re besties now, apparently. Nobody told Hayley.

Freshly sprung, Hayley burst into the casino’s back room as Randy was pulling bundles of cash out of a lock box, and the plot thickened into concrete. The police have figured out the toxin, but they have no clue Randy is the one who supplied it, and Hayley wanted him to know how close she came to giving him up after he left her hanging. Her gate access to Fairmont Crest has been yanked, her plastic has been cut off and the joint accounts are frozen, so she demanded hotel money. Randy handed over a stack and vowed to put it back before the boss noticed. That is a sentence no one should ever have to think about Joey Armstrong.

Then, because subtlety is for other soaps, Hayley slipped into her best leather and strolled into Bill’s hospital room like it was date night. Bill informed her the divorce papers are coming, along with a restraining order, and that he plans to push for the stiffest sentence the law allows, then called her exactly what the rest of Fairmont Crest has been calling her for weeks. Hayley’s reply was pure villain energy: this story isn’t over, not by a long shot. Somewhere, a Garland security guard is updating his résumé.

Bill Hamilton Faces the Truth

Back at Garland, Bill found himself hooked up to a fomepizole drip, with Ashley Morgan explaining it will fight off what’s in his system and promising to be available whenever he needs her. Dani, naturally, never left his side. Once Ashley stepped out, the reality finally landed: Hayley never loved him for a single second. She loved his balance sheet.

The man who built a career outsmarting everyone in the room had to admit he’d been played, a textbook easy target. Dani held his hand while he sat with it, which is a very generous gesture from the ex-wife who says he tossed their family aside for the woman who poisoned him.

Over at Orphie Gene’s, Chelsea Hamilton was still reeling from her father’s seizure when her cousin, Kat Richardson, offered her condolences, having heard nothing about it. Chelsea admitted she always figured her dad was indestructible and mentioned his suspicion that Hayley was stepping out on him. Then Naomi Hamilton Hawthorne arrived with the real bombshell: forget cheating, Hayley had been poisoning him. Naomi walked them through the whole saga, gun and all, and Chelsea summed up Hayley in one very efficient word.

Naomi explained the toxin was a nightmare to detect but that there’s a treatment, and she beat herself up for kicking off the chain of events. Kat couldn’t wrap her head around it, since Hayley always put on such a devoted-wife show, but Naomi was clear that this was about money. Later, Dani joined her girls at Orphie’s to compare notes on Bill. Family bonding, Fairmont Crest style: over a poisoning.

Kat Richardson Jumps the Gun

Back at Orphie’s, the moment Kat heard Tomas was repping Hayley, she was out the door to tear into her boyfriend. One problem: by the time she marched into the law office, he’d already walked away from the case. Tomas laid out exactly what happened and was hurt that she’d pegged him as both dim and disloyal.

Kat admitted she’d taken Naomi’s word as gospel. Tomas asked for a little faith instead of leaping to the worst possible conclusion, and Kat fired back that he’s guilty of the exact same thing. He’s tired of this routine. So is everyone watching. These two have now fought about a purse, a grandmother and a murderer’s legal representation, and they haven’t even hit their first holiday season.

Joey Armstrong Meets the Impaler

At the casino, Joey replayed the recording Andre Richardson handed him, then got on the phone and had one of his guys keep watch over Vanessa McBride. When Randy asked about the Andre meeting, Joey told him it was way beyond his clearance and had to stay quiet. Joey also doubled down on his warning to keep away from Hayley, which Randy is clearly following to the letter. Joey’s bigger headache is his sister, and he’s determined to stop her from snapping up more businesses on his turf, so Randy was put in charge of making sure nobody bankrolls her.

Over at Uptown, Heather Armstrong asked Andre if he’d given their little chat any thought. He’s been busy. She’d heard all about his wife getting pinched for a little light burglary, and offered a breezy “bummer.” When Andre declared his love for Dani, Heather nearly laughed, said he was overselling it and asked him not to make her wait forever. Meanwhile at the station, Andre came looking for Dani, and Jacob told him she was with Bill, that an arrest had been made and that everything was under control. The two ended up swapping notes on the Impaler case. Irony, thy name is Andre.

Later, Joey showed up at Uptown in person, and Heather teased him about slipping past his goons. Joey wanted to know where the sister he grew up with went, since she never used to be ruthless. Heather’s explanation: she got sick of being a doormat and now expects respect, the Joey way. Then Joey dropped the Impaler label on her, and Heather’s eyes darted around the room to confirm nobody overheard before she decided the title actually sounds rather chic. She laughed. He left empty-handed.

When Andre later asked Joey to handle Heather, Joey said he’d deal with it on his own schedule, thanks. And Randy, needing a drink after his day, wandered into Uptown, where Heather assumed his visit was all about her. Of course she did.

Eva Thomas Gets the Tea

At her place, Eva Thomas was racing to get ready while scolding Izaiah Hawthorne for keeping her occupied all morning. He’s free until the afternoon. She is not. When he pulled her back in and told her she was gorgeous, Eva couldn’t tell whether he was being cheesy or plain thirsty, and his offer to cook for her got an eye-roll, since he’d be cooking with her groceries.

Then Leslie arrived with a fresh pot of tea. Izaiah was floored by news of the arrest, and Eva assumed her mom was spinning a yarn until Leslie confirmed Hayley genuinely tried to murder Bill. Eva had assumed Hayley was madly in love with him, Izaiah wasn’t so sure, and Leslie bragged that she’d clocked Hayley’s guilt instantly and witnessed the meltdown in person.

Eva was floored that her mother had fronted the bail money. Leslie’s philosophy: she backs women whether they’re right or spectacularly wrong. Besides, Hayley only went after Bill, so where’s the harm? Izaiah regretted not warning Bill that Hayley had flirted with him, earning a truly spectacular stink face from Eva. Leslie added that Bill deserved whatever he got, since if it were up to him, Eva wouldn’t exist at all. Eva refused to hold grudges over ancient history, and her mother called her a doormat for it. Leslie Thomas, Mother of the Year.

Fairmont Crest Takes Out the Trash

Hayley got cuffed, dumped, printed and photographed, then got bailed out by the one person who enjoyed every second of her downfall. Bill finally accepted he’d been conned while his family closed ranks around him. Kat went to war over a case Tomas had already dropped, Joey learned his sister wears her murderous nickname like a designer label, and Eva discovered her mom thinks attempted murder is a forgivable hobby. Friday served everything but an alibi.
