Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Cat Greene Exposes Italian Clinic Setup to EJ DiMera
Days of Our Lives spoilers: Cat Greene tells EJ DiMera their Italian clinic time was arranged, and nobody has named who set that up yet.
CAT GREENE ADMITS THE ITALIAN CLINIC WAS NO ACCIDENT
TL;DR: The new weekly promo has Cat Greene telling EJ DiMera that their time together at the Italian clinic was not a coincidence. She confesses to Rafe Hernandez first, on Monday. Nobody has said who arranged any of it.
The Promo Line That Rewrites EJ DiMera’s Italian Clinic
Days of Our Lives spoilers for the week of August 31 hand Salem its cleanest confession in months. In the new weekly promo, Cat Greene stands in the DiMera mansion and tells EJ DiMera that the time they spent together at the Italian clinic was not a coincidence. She says it flat, without a flinch, and the promo cuts away before either of them has to explain it. That one sentence turns a foggy shared past into something a person built on purpose.
What the promo holds back matters more than what it shows. No one names the person who arranged the clinic stay, and no one explains the purpose behind it. The bigger blank is EJ himself, who as of the last streamed episode remembered almost nothing of the stretch he spent bandaged and unconscious in Italy. Days of Our Lives has been feeding this thread out in crumbs since July, and Cat just tipped the whole box onto the table.
Here is the part that should frighten her. Cat is ISA, and she has been running an operation on EJ from very close range. Marlena Evans pulled the clinic memory out of her under hypnosis on August 24, and what surfaced was not a tender detail about reading to a coma patient. Cat remembered telling an unconscious EJ that she was ISA, which means her cover has been sitting inside his damaged head the entire time. Anyone who follows the daytime spoiler beat knows how rarely a soap hands over a confession this clean.

Cat Greene Confesses To Rafe Hernandez First
The order of operations here is everything. Monday, August 31 has Cat making a confession to Rafe Hernandez, and Rafe has never enjoyed watching her work off leash. Marlena had already told her to cut contact with EJ completely, advice Cat filed somewhere near the bottom of a drawer. We covered how the hypnosis cracked her memory open last week, and every beat in this promo grows straight out of that session.
She has two confessions to make and only one of them is survivable. Telling Rafe is the professional move, ugly but recoverable. Telling EJ is a different animal, because the second she says the clinic was arranged, she has admitted an operation existed. EJ does not need a second hint to start pulling on a thread like that.
What Did Cat Greene Tell EJ DiMera About The Italian Clinic?
She tells him their time at the Italian clinic was not a coincidence, and so far that is the whole of it. Here is the connection nobody else has drawn. On August 26, Cat Greene was the one who dropped Chad DiMera and Belle Black‘s Italy trip into conversation with EJ, and his attention snapped to it instantly. Days later he is set to turn up and surprise the pair of them. Cat may have aimed him at Italy herself, right before admitting Italy was staged.
The Italian Clinic Reveal Puts Cat In Real Danger
Reading between the lines, Cat Greene is not confessing out of guilt. She is confessing because she believes EJ is close to remembering on his own, and a secret you volunteer always costs less than a secret somebody digs up. Do not be surprised if the ISA turns on her before EJ does. Marlena warned her to walk away, Rafe is about to learn that she did not, and the agency does not hand out medals to operatives who tell the target the truth.
My gut says the arranger is the real story, and the show is sitting on that name for a reason. Whoever put a wounded EJ and an undercover agent inside the same Italian clinic did it with a purpose that has not aired yet. That purpose is worth far more to this storyline than the confession itself.

Cat Just Handed EJ The Only Weapon He Was Missing
Two ways this breaks, and both of them are delicious. Either EJ hears a confession and sees a con, in which case the last person standing in his corner becomes his next target. Or he hears the first honest sentence anyone has offered him since Lexie died, and he pulls her closer because the alternative is facing the Coriseal wreckage alone. My money is on the first one, because my money is usually on EJ becoming the worst version of himself.
Either way, that clinic is no longer background scenery. It is the spine of the whole story now, and the name of whoever arranged it is the biggest unaired card on the table. Come pick your suspect with us over on our Facebook page, where the arguing is half the fun.
