DAYS OF OUR LIVES RECAP: SOPHIA CHOI WANTS HER MONEY AND KRISTEN DIMERA WANTS RACHEL

TL;DR: Your Days of Our Lives recap for October 12, 2026. Sophia remembers almost everything and wants the money Kristen promised her, Brady is on EJ’s side for once, and Stephanie thinks she saw Joy move her leg.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Sophia Choi Remembers Almost Everything

The Days of Our Lives recap October 12, 2026 opens on the biggest secret in Kentucky. At the Paducah diner, Kristen DiMera called the waitress “Amelia” by her real name, grabbed her arm when she tried to run and pulled her outside. Sophia Choi told her she remembers almost everything: the shoes in the water, the railing, the fall into the river.

What she does not remember is Kristen hitting her over the head. Sophia assumes she slipped. Kristen said she was relieved, more relieved than Sophia could know, and claimed she came to apologize. She blamed everything on the stress over Rachel.

How Sophia Got Out of the River

Sophia came to in the water, made it to shore and went through with the fake suicide plan. She reached a truck stop, where a kind trucker named Marge found her, nursed her back to health and brought her to Kentucky.

Kristen admitted she ran too, once EJ figured out what she had done. For a minute they sounded like a pair of ghosts, cut off from their families.

Days of Our Lives Recap: Sophia Choi Asks Kristen to Pay Up

Then Sophia got down to business. Pay the money Kristen promised, she said, or she tells everyone how Kristen manipulated her, the police and EJ included. She insisted it was not blackmail, just what she is owed.

Kristen agreed and started moving the money, until Brady’s message came through. If Sophia wanted her money, Kristen said, she was coming back to Salem. Sophia did not want to go, but when Kristen walked off, she ran after her. Our Days of Our Lives spoilers have Sophia back in Salem by Friday.

Does Sophia Choi Remember What Kristen Did to Her?

Almost all of it. Sophia remembers the plan and the railing, but she thinks her fall was an accident. The minute she remembers who hit her, the money is the least of Kristen’s problems. And on the same day, back in Salem, Mason admitted he lashed out at Holly partly because he could not help Sophia, while Sophia was in Kentucky naming her price. She is also set to spot Johnny first, per our preview of Sophia watching Johnny.

Brady Black Is on EJ’s Side for Once

At the hospital, Kayla Johnson told Brady Black that Rachel Black is on the road to recovery. Brady said Rachel misses her mother most of all, and he still cannot reach Kristen. Then Kayla passed along what Johnny DiMera told Steve: Kristen was behind the attempt on Johnny’s life.

Brady believed it, proof or no proof. He said he understood why EJ DiMera went after her, and admitted that for once he is on EJ’s side. At Rachel’s bedside, with his daughter asleep, he told her he knows she misses her mom, but having Kristen in their lives is a bad idea. Then he saw that his message to Kristen had been read.

Joy Wesley (AlexAnn Hopkins), Kelsey's mother, faces Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein), Alex Kiriakis's wife, who thinks she saw Joy move her leg, in the Days of Our Lives recap for October 12, 2026

Days of Our Lives Recap: Stephanie Johnson Thinks She Saw Joy Move

Earlier, Stephanie Johnson came through the door as Joy Wesley quickly sat back down in her wheelchair. Joy demanded to know what she was doing there and accused her of violating their custody agreement. Stephanie said she heard Kelsey crying and only wanted to help. Alex Kiriakis stopped Joy and saw his wife out.

Joy kept pushing until Alex snapped that this was not going to work. Joy offered to apologize to Stephanie, but Alex said Stephanie would no longer be an afterthought, and the first job was finding Joy a place of her own, as soon as possible. Her sympathy play about the wheelchair did not move him.

Stephanie later told Kayla that Joy looked like she was sitting back down, and that she thinks she saw Joy’s leg move. Kayla said every medical sign points to the paralysis being real. We watched Joy hop out of a hospital bed when nobody was looking, so our money is on Stephanie.

Then Mason made his offer. Holly could volunteer at the hotline, Marlena Evans would teach her, and he would mentor her. Holly promised to think about it and headed to the hospital to see Rachel.
