RIC LANSING DEFENDED WILLOW CAIN LAST YEAR, AND NOW LULU SPENCER WANTS HIM TO TAKE HER APART

TL;DR: Lulu Spencer gets served this week: Willow Cain is suing her for libel over the Invader exposé. Ric Lansing takes on a new client Friday, October 16, and every sign points to Lulu. Ric argued Willow’s own custody case in 2025, and a lawsuit opens the one door Willow can’t afford: discovery.

Lulu Spencer Gets Served, and Ric Lansing Has a Client Slot Open Friday

These General Hospital spoilers start with a process server. Lulu Spencer opens her door this week and says the words out loud: “Willow Tait is suing me for libel.” Willow Cain took Harrison Chase‘s advice, the one he gave on October 9 when he told her, “Do not let the Quartermaines win.” She is suing over a story she told Britt was true.

Lulu is not settling. On Thursday, October 15, Sonny and Ric plot together. On Friday, October 16, Ric takes on a new client, and the show hasn’t said who. Spoiler chatter has said Lulu’s name for a week, and she’s the one person in Port Charles who just got handed a reason to hire a shark.

Here’s the call we’re making. The hire lands by Friday, not the week after, and the war is what plays out from October 19 on. Lulu needs someone who will get in the mud, because her source is already in it. More on him in a minute.

Should Ric take Lulu’s case, or is that a conflict he can’t touch? Write to the editor at amber@soapoperamagazine.com and argue it.

Ric Sat at Willow’s Table the Last Time Sidwell Bought a Judge

Now the part nobody else is telling you. On June 3, 2025, Ric Lansing argued Willow’s custody case against Michael Corinthos. He turned down a settlement, cross-examined Dante Falconeri, Tracy Quartermaine and Josslyn Jacks, and got Tracy to admit she’d been charged with kidnapping. He lost on June 12, 2025, and told Elizabeth he felt terrible.

One week later, the judge told Jenz Sidwell she “did exactly what he instructed” and he promised to wire the rest of her money. Sit with that. The man who corrupted Willow’s last courtroom is now the man whose word is her only defense in this one.

And Ric knows her file. He knows how she testifies, what she hides and who covers for her. If Willow’s side tries to knock him off the case as her old lawyer, that’s a scene, not a dead end. If I know these writers, it’s the scene.

What Could Willow’s Lawsuit Against Lulu Expose on General Hospital?

Everything Willow has spent a year burying, because that’s how a libel case works. Truth is the defense, so the whole fight is about whether Willow drugged Drew, and discovery lets Lulu’s side demand the proof. Willow herself, under oath. One preview put it plainly: if this reaches a courtroom, she “would have to lie under oath.”

Count the witnesses. Drew Cain and his medical records, which Lulu already has by a waiver he signed. Sidwell and the hospital visitor log he dared Dante to check on Monday.

Britt Westbourne, who heard Willow admit it on October 8 and then offered Sidwell a way out. Nina Reeves, who Willow confessed to back on April 14. Anna, who confirmed on October 9 that the WSB had a drug that mimics locked-in syndrome. Joe, who questions Willow Thursday about something strange he saw at her house months ago.

Ric Lansing with subpoena power is a different animal than Ric at a bedside. Willow suing over a true story is the soap version of handing the other side the keys to her own house.

Monday Proved the Suit Cuts Both Ways

Discovery doesn’t only open Willow’s closet. On Monday, October 12, Drew stormed Lulu’s house over a HIPAA waiver he says she got “under false pretenses,” accused her of quoting Lucas and Elizabeth Webber out of context, and asked whether she knew her “totally deranged daughter” broke into his car. He threatened to crush her phone. Lulu’s answer was to offer him the record, not an apology.

She also got Sidwell on tape dressed as a nurse while he was medicated. That’s Willow’s case, and it’s the reason Lulu needs a fighter instead of a gentleman. Dante, for his part, read Sidwell’s quotes back to him Monday and called them “a very long, detailed confession.” Sidwell’s reply was that he was “heavily medicated,” and then he remembered threatening to ruin Willow and went quiet.

Don’t be surprised if Drew’s Tuesday plan is to go on the record and bury her, since Ava’s been pushing him to. And Charlotte Cassadine is on her way to boarding school in Maine, which means Drew’s car accusation stays a loose thread. Follow it on our two weeks of General Hospital spoilers and the October 12 to 16 preview.

Willow Just Sued Her Way Into a Deposition

Our money says Chase talked Willow into the worst decision of a year full of them. A congresswoman who admitted the story to her best friend is now asking a court to call it a lie, with a star witness who says he dreamed it.

Team Lulu says hire the shark and open every file Willow owns. Team Willow says Ric Lansing was her lawyer and can’t switch sides. Pick one on our Facebook page.
