JORDAN ASHFORD CALLED MICHAEL’S EXCUSE A COP-OUT, AND NOW A WEEK IN GERMANY TESTS HER OWN RULE

TL;DR: Jordan Ashford and Michael flew to the Baden-Baden clinic on Wednesday’s episode, and spoilers tease temptation the week of October 19. Back home, Curtis’s road out of prison could run through Portia’s front door. Here’s who loses what if they cross the line.

A Private Jet, a Painful Week and One Very Pointed Cop-Out

These General Hospital spoilers start at 30,000 feet. Wednesday’s episode put Michael Corinthos and Jordan Ashford on the Quartermaine jet, bound for the Baden-Baden clinic that repaired Michael’s own scars. Jason is minding his work. Michael told her the treatment runs about a week, called it intense and painful, and said he’s staying. Jordan swore she’s tougher than she looks.

Then the talk turned to failed marriages, and Michael made his big mistake. He decided his marriage to Willow Cain was doomed anyway, because she never stopped pining for Harrison Chase. Jordan didn’t let it slide. “With all due respect, that’s a total cop-out,” she told him, and she argued that everyone is responsible for their own actions. You can relive the whole flight in our October 14 recap.

The Show Is Testing This Pair, and the Writers Like What They See

Tanisha Harper, who plays Jordan, said in a recent interview that the show is testing the pairing, and “I think the writers and Frank liked it, and we’ve progressed with that.” Her read on why it works is pure soap: “They’ve both had these severe accidents and scarring, and as we know, people kind of trauma-bond at times!” As for where it’s headed, she put it best: “In true soap fashion!”

Spoiler chatter for the week of October 19 says the bond deepens thanks to Michael’s gift and temptation follows. Back on October 2, we asked whether Michael was packing Jordan’s bags for his own reasons. Wednesday cut against that read. A man with a scheme drops her at the door. Michael is staying the whole week.

Are Michael and Jordan Getting Together on General Hospital?

Not yet. Nothing romantic has aired, and the show has only confirmed it is testing the chemistry. But a week alone abroad is how soaps light the fuse, and Michael even joked that he’d want Jordan Ashford’s help getting his head on straight before his next relationship. Careful what you wish for.

Here’s what makes this pairing dangerous. Michael’s whole war on Willow rests on her affair with Drew Cain and her feelings for Chase. He moved her into the Quartermaine gatehouse, plotted a scandal with Tracy, and coached Brook Lynn Quartermaine to wait for Chase and Willow to cheat. If Michael becomes the other man with Curtis’s partner, he hands Willow the very weapon he has been swinging at her. And Jordan just set the rule that would convict them both.

Curtis Could Trade a Prison Cell for Portia’s House

Meanwhile, Curtis Ashford is still recovering at GH from the Pentonville beating, and he’s the one who told Jordan Ashford to go on October 8. That same day he hired Monet Mitchell, Jordan’s estranged half-sister, to handle his appeal. We laid out Monet’s trap for Curtis on Sunday, and on Thursday she advises him again.

His family hopes for a move to Spring Ridge. Head writers Elizabeth Korte and Chris Van Etten teased that his new lawyer hits Portia Robinson and Isaiah Gannon with an outrageous request. Spoiler chatter says it’s house arrest at Portia’s, with baby Des.

And Portia’s house is filling up. On Wednesday, Marshall Ashford babysat Des, Isaiah brought takeout, and Marshall’s one condition was that Isaiah never try to replace Curtis as Des’s father. Now the twist. On the jet, Jordan admitted that Portia resented how close she and Curtis stayed during his marriage, and that part of her was relieved to get away. If Curtis lands at Portia’s while Jordan bonds with Michael, she’s sitting in Portia’s old seat.

Who Loses What if Michael and Jordan Cross the Line

Curtis loses the most. In August he got ten years with parole possible in two, and Jordan vowed to wait. He loses that promise, and the company he trusted her to run, to the man beside her on that jet. Jordan Ashford loses Curtis and the high ground she claimed on that plane. Michael loses his best argument against Willow, and Portia and Isaiah lose their fresh start.

One person loses nothing. On October 9, Monet told Curtis it would be a shame if Jordan were keeping secrets from him. If Jordan comes home with one, Monet looks like a prophet. Follow every turn on our two weeks of General Hospital spoilers.

Monet Mitchell Wins No Matter Who Crosses the Line in Germany

Our money says Jordan fights it, and Michael doesn’t make it easy. Two scarred people, one painful week and no Curtis in the room is a recipe, and these writers know how to cook. If they fall, Monet only has to wait for Curtis to ask the question she already planted.

Team Curtis says Jordan owes the man who told her to go. Team Michael says he’s the only one who understands her. Pick a side on our Facebook page.
